I heard a rumor that the Knicks are looking to practice in Chaminade High School's new gym in mineola. My friend who goes there and is working at the new gym said that the guys in charge of Chaminade haven't decided yet.

Has anybody else heard this rumor?

The Knicks have their own practice facility in Westchester. Wouldn't they just practice there?

This could be a public relations move. That practice facility is in the middle of nowhere. Having practices in LI would keep them close to the fans (Literally and metaphorically) AND might just keep certain brooklyn wanderers from jumping ship to the Nets when they move to Brooklyn.

I see no other reason for them to be doing this, considering they all live in either Manhatten or Weschester.

they just built that practice facility.

either the rumor is bogus or their talking about moving training camp.

but not for practice, that's all westchester.

The Celtics have their own facility but also practice at a local gym outside of WAltham. It could happen.
