Houston is on ESPNNews right now- basically saying that he doesn't owe the knicks anything - which for some reason really pisses me off.

I don't want him back, but he could at least acknowledge what the knicks did for him and paid him.

Basically saying? What EXACTLY did he say?

He was asked if he felt like he owed anything to the knicks and knick fans for his absurd salary and inability to play. Houston was a little defensive saying he did everything he could and he doesnt think owes anything to anyone.

If they replay it I'll give you an exact quote

Why are you upset about that? The Knicks moved on, and when he was here, they drove him into the ground immediately. He was playing 38 minutes a night at times his last season, when he shouldn't have been playing at all!

Knick fans need to move on if he goes to another team. Who gives a fudge what he thinks?

While he really isnt to blame for his salary (if someone offers me 100 Million, I'm going to take it whether i deserve it or not) He should still show some appreciation to the team and realize just how much he really f'ked us.

Like I said- I don't want him back, but the way he answered the question seems ungrateful and it bothers me. Thats all.

He should say:
"Knicks paid me ridicules money which I never deserved. And now my obligation is to come back to the Knicks and play for free. They have so many flowed personalities and they luck leadership. I need to come and provide it on the court and in the locker room. Bla... Bla... Bla... Go Knicks..."
Then nobody will be pissed...

The ironic part of it is - if Ewing will be the coach and Spike Lee the owner H20 will probably never looked anywhere but Knicks. But with current mafia who want to jump in the dirt?

Papabear says

You can look at it 2 ways, he left Detroit with no compasion and came to us. Allan come at you as a religious person with a kind heart. Listen I will roote for him as long as he don't play for our arch rivals , boston, Miami, Indianappolis, Chicago. Any diehard Knicks fan will tell you that.
If Houston feels that way and he goes to one of those teams then he lost a fan. We talk about Marbs saying stupit things! Look a Allan he should have kept his mouth shut after all what the Knicks did for him and how much money they gave him. He should have said I owe the Knicks a lot and I also know that they are moving in another direction with the youth and I don't want to take time away from a potential good player on the Knicks roster.I wish them well. Allan

I like Allan, and I will root for him (again, as long as he doesn't join the mutha ****in Nets or the C's). As far as I'm concerned, he doesn't owe us a damn thing. He played hard every night, tried to come back ASAP with that bum knee (coming back too soon was truely his biggest mistake), and was nothing but a positive influence in the locker room. Hell, he even agreed to that basic insurance scam in a move to save the organization millions of dollars in luxury tax, but hell, this board loves to state that it ain't your money.

This is the bottom line. He had MSG doctors clear him to play and say everything is fine and it wasn't. He played excessive minutes in at least 1 meaningless season and it was his undoing.

He doesnt owe the knicks anything. It hurts me to say it because I love the knicks and loved him as a player but that is the reality. I can deal with it, you guys should too.

Agreed. And I'll root for Allan no matter what team he joins. (The Knicks aren't good enough to actually have rivals!)

His salary isn't his fault and his injury isn't his fault. He always played his best and played well for us.

He's right. They gave him the contract. He couldn't live up to it, but you can't break a contract so it goes back on guess who? Layden & Dolan for being such dumb asses. I'm starting to enjoy these management teams screwing the Knicks over. I love it that the fans are paying the price. The stupid fans who support this crap. Maybe I should become more of a Dolan-Isiah fan. Think I will. Ha!
I'll never trust this' team again.

Yeah, see! We pay for something now, something I bitched about just before they signed that contract and I got **** for it. Just like I'm complaining now of the kind of team we have now, we are going to pay for this one to. But I don't expect anyone to believe me on this either. You heard it here first.
I'll never trust this' team again.
