He's right about the media though.

We find out Marbury is participating in Dog Fighting and the associated abuses, and I'd agree.

Until then he is just one man with an opinion that many others share, whether you agree with that opinion or not.

In a way he is right. People go and shoot deer and other animals for no reason at all (don't say they eat them because there are plenty of people who kill more animals than they eat). No one really bothers them.

That being said, I still have a problem with the Vick allegations because not only did he kill and fight dogs, which I personally think is stupid, but he also killed dogs in the most inhumane ways possible. This guy could have at least went and purchased some injectable drugs that would have killed the dogs humanely. Instead, he pretty much tortures the dogs to death.

it's a long freaking offseason guys. i so don't care what marbs thinks of vick as long as he delivers his "11 or 12 dimes AND 2 assists" per game.

just another example of Marbury's inane inability to understand the concept of accountability... notice how he makes Michael Vick out to be a victim here, as if the media & the justice system is coming down on him for doing nothing wrong... it isn't Mike Vick that made a horribly bad decision in getting involved in dog fighting here in Marbury's eyes, it is the system, the media & the general public which is to blame here... Mike Vick just unfortunately happened to "fall into a bad situation" completely accidentally & he shouldn't be blamed for it... unreal.

How is this distorted?

Marbury's judgement is really off here.

we can all argue the culture of furs vs. consumption vs. sport.

The dogs are tortured as a matter of their training from puppies until maturity. That is cruel. But again we can debate lots of things.

Interstate gambling is tax evasion and Vick as a 27 year old man should know this. Also, he willingly broke many laws. Gambling is legal in some areas of the country also.

Its about breaking the law and knowing right from wrong. Vick is not a victim of anything except his stupidity. Upon getting cought he could have really minimized this by pleaing. He did not so he gets full brunt of the law.

Maybe if it was not for all the denials of prevoius accusations he might have one some benefit of the doubt.

He lied to the commish a few times, he lied to his owner who believed in him enough to give him a $130 million dollar contract and make him the face and leader of his franchise. He invested in Vick. Taking on endorsements and contracts means responsability to fulfil them. It means being professional about things.

I don't feel sorry for him nor should we or the black community continue to enable him. Nobody tore down Vick except for Vick! THe media did not break the law, he did. You don't have to agree with the law, but that does not entitle you to break it. Its not a black or white issue. One one end we got Tim the crooked ref who broke the law, and we got Vick that broke the law.

Marbury is really quite suprising just how freaking stupid this man really is. Every time he hits a new low its just a matter of time until he stoops even futher.

He lacks so much credibilty that we really don't know how to trust anything he says.

I guess we can hope. Still doesn't change the fact that Marbury commenting on such a controversial topic isn't smart given where he plays ball.

man, i usually don't mind marbury's comments (he plays for my favorite team, he's not my congressman or whatever), but this is really bad. it's a sport? how the **** would he like it if he got beat to death or electrocuted as part of his sport? **** it, with his career winning record and track record of showing up to camp out of shape, he'd be one of the first pit bulls buried in vick's back yard.

ManMadUpperBury should expound on the benefits of his shoes not using real leather and thus no animals are sacrificed for the Sh!tBury sneaker.
