KVH was pretty damn gid, certainly better than Tim Thomas was here. KVH grabbed boards in addition to scoring. He just was inconsistent, but more productive than Tim in any event.

Between TT and punkass Charles Smith, we've gone through some bad times.

these knicks rankings threads are a twisted example of how bad knicks management has been for the past 25 years.

You knew we were in trouble when Gerald Wilkens was our starter.

I always wished his brothers DNA would seep out of him and he'd be a late bloomer.

I would pick Orr before Tiny Tim.

Well, you have to give Bernard King a 15 in scoring on a scale of 1 to 10. During the four years with us, his regular season scoring averages were 21.9, 26.3, 32.9 and 22.7. During those same years his fg % was .53, .57, .53 and .50 respectively. One year in the playoffs (I think it was '84), we beat the Pistons when he had 2 or 3 games of 40 or more. Then, before our next series againts the Celtics, McHale said Bernard King isn't scoring 40 points against the Celtics. He did it twice.

King had scored 50 points or more in three consecutive games in the 80's, if memory serves me right.

Here is a very brief highlights of King's career:

# Bernard King's career point total of 19,665 ranks him 31st in total scoring in NBA history, as of September 2006. Of the 30 players with more career points, only George Gervin, Bob Pettit and Elgin Baylor played fewer games than King.
