Allan has hinted that once his contract was off the books he was going to make a try of it.

I can see him latching on with a contender rather than enter our youthier movement. He will give Dolan first crack at him respectively if the Knicks want him.

Kind of suck to give a guy multigenerational wealth and have him win a shot at the buzzer to beat the knicks if he plays elsewhere!

There's no room in our roster for Allan. Boston would make sense, but they've been using their mle for others.

i'm hoping Allan doesn't go to any other contending EC team than DET if he doesn't come here... i don't mind if he goes to a team like Phoenix or some other WC team if he wants to compete for a ring, but to play against the Knicks on a regular basis would be messed up IMO.

Its messed up. Its good that the knicks salary cap is screwed to hell as it is cuz if it wasn't he would be a deadman walking in nyc.

Zero loyalty in sports, zero... If you need a ring that bad, go by one Allan. If you wanna knock down open j's, do it here or stay home!

I think Houston comes back to NY only because it would be a huge positive media coup for Dolan and the Knicks..So much negative press the last few years, this can only be a good thing for them...Also, having a guy like Houston on the roster who is media savvy helps deflect the focus from Marbury or Randolf as being the voices of the Knicks...I think he has a future in the organization, this will only solidify it...

that zero loyalty thing works both ways too sometimes tho... i don't mind if Allan wants to go play for a ring, as long as he's not helping 1 of our conference rivals in the process.

To me, just as long as he doesn't join Miami or Indiana or Chicago or Boston or New Jersey. That would kind of be kinda selfish and one of those "Who cares about my roots." moves. I'm sure he's smarter than that. I don't mind the Cavs, if he is really serious about working with LeBron. There's no way Detroit is signing him, especially after they drafted Affalo.

So when I think of it, I pretty much agree with TMS, except with the Cavs. If he wants to sign with them, fine.

PS: Loyalty and business don't mix.

Ouch, good point. Especially after Detroit had bitter feelings about Houston leaving.

I realize it happens both ways, but that doesn't mean I have to like it..

agreed.. seeing him in a Heat, Bulls, Pacers, Celtics or Nets uniform would just be an insult to the time he spent here as a Knick... if he does that i'll consider him a phony.

Some Fans are hilarious. Some of the same fans that are saying it will be a slap in the face if he signed somewhere else are the same fans that say they would boo him for his past contract.
I just hope that people will like me
