Man - you should post on Spurs site.
Spurs haters group need some help. They are in a pretty bad shape against Spurs lovers lately.

We have very strong group of haters on this board and they don't need any help.
All help coming from Knicks players, owner, and GM/coach.

I would realy appreciate that.

And how about a suspension of 1 games pay for Joe Crawford ejecting a guy for having fun at an NBA game. David Stern's facist ass must love Joe Crawford.

Crawford got suspended for the rest of the season including the playoffs. His return this season is not automatic.

DAMN!!! See what happens? A fcist coach is suspended for a a portion of a season by a facist commisioner. Thats too much. The Refs have no union or a very week one, that punishment is way way out of line, although what crawford did was wrong, lets not go overboard.

David Stern only has one speed: overboard.

^Agreed. If Ira's comment is accurate, thats too much suspension.

I have a feeling that the suspension is not only a result of Crawford's actions in the game, but also immediately following and possibly his behavior when meeting with Stern.

When the suspension was announced, Stern stressed it was a result of a combination of the incident itself, Crawford's prior behavior, and repeated warnings he had been given about learning to control his temper.

Here's my source.

I don't think it's too much. Crawford not only crossed the line, he jumped over it and danced around on the other side. More importantly, he influenced the outcome or the game because he was out of control. The question in my mind is, should he ever be allowed to officiate again.

Keep in mind the rest of the season was about two games.

And it would have been a bit odd having him work the playoffs right after this incident. Inevitably he would have had to work some Spurs games - and nobody would think he would have a completely fair POV right after this had taken place.

Why would a career ban be warranted?

Simply because so far, Crawford still believes he did nothing wrong and would have handled the situation exactly the same (he stated this). How can you put someone like that back in place?

What if he knows a few things?
Can NBA allow to get it out in the light of last events?
He will be back and will do what he always did...

Exactly. He has to make it clear that he realizes what he did wrong and he has to clearly demonstrate that the league can expect him to handle situations with a cool head and with dignity and impartiality. Apologizing to Tim Duncan would be a good start.

Not really. Stern has gotten rid of officials who had personal problems in the past. These guys do not have multi-year contracts. One year and you are evaluated after the season. I think that is the case in most major sports. If you don't believe me just ask Jake O'Donnell. I think he is still waiting by the phone after 13 years.

He pretty much ruined any chance he'd ever officiate again after this:

However a year later in an interview with ESPN, O'Donnell admitted to having a long-standing grudge against Drexler that began while "Clyde the Glide" was playing for the Portland Trail Blazers. O'Donnell commented, "I wouldn't give Clyde Drexler much leeway because of the way he reacted with me all the time. I thought at times he would give cheap shots to people, and I just would not allow it."
