i have a feeling he's going to demand a trade again if they don't succeed in getting JO, & knowing how competitive the guys is, i would never rule out the possibility of him ending up in a Knicks uniform this year or next... he's 1 player i would have no problem trading away our future to obtain.

Very minimal... at best. And what's worse, if we somehow swung for the fences and got Kobe, what we'd have left would leave us in worse shape than the Lakers currently are.

It COULD happen. I think we could put a competitive package together and still have enough pieces for a winning team assuming Randolph, Lee, Balkman, and Nate all improve their trade value with improved play this year (and Randolph stays out of trouble). We are doubled up at every position, so we should still have a decent team even if we have to give LA an entire team. I think we would be one of the top 3 or 4 teams in the running for Kobe, but it is not going to be easy to make it happen.
