Our starting pitching is not terribly awe inspiring, but that bullpen looks like all kinds of freakin awesome on paper.

Bird is hurt again???

Fixed.

three headed monster was pretty dominant today

Stanton 1-15 on the homestand so far. Waiting for the Birdman to come back.

Okay, that was fugly.
At least Stanton got two hits and didn't strike out 6 times.

Good to know he has recent history of slow starts.
Man, is Judge getting compensated for being his media rep? It's good he likes his teammate and campaigned to get him here, but does EVERY article on Stanton's woes have to have the same Judge quote in it?

Yeah, man! Poor Johnny Sterling, he got so excited with Gleyber's walk off, he forgot to end the win properly. Good times.

Beat the Sox!

Gotta love spring baseball! Juan Carlo goes boom! Tied with the Sox for 1st in the league! Good times...

I still keep thinking about when our bullpen had Andrew Miller in it... Robertson isn't at that level... still... things are nice in Yankeeland...

How long can this go on? What if it doesn't stop? What if we win all the games the rest of the season? LOL
What if CC wins the Cy Young this year at 137 years old?

Old man Gardy, flyin around the bases! JCarlo, hitting doubles and happy about it! Judgian blasts!

Dayum, this is fun!

Where is everybody?

Been watching, at least part of the game, almost every day. I haven't been this into baseball since I was a kid. Really exciting time to be a Yankees fan. It's amazing to have this kind of record with Judge's average slightly below where you'd expect, Stanton and Didi about .040 points below where you'd expect, Bird about .060-.080 points below where you'd expect and Sanchez a full .100 points below where you'd expect. The hitting has been clutch, especially late, and the pitching especially clutch. Torres and Andujar have been amazing. This is a fun season.

Yankees are a great team. It is exciting. It stinks that Boston is better and is in the same division though.

Great they haven't been great for a month, at this point missing the playoffs is a very real possibility.

Seasons have ups and downs. It's normal. What Boston is doing is more abnormal. Unfortunately for us, Boston is spectacular. This last series was such a let down though and I'm much less excited about watching the rest of the regular season. Ugh.

Our best player was out, our phenom catcher has yet to wake up, we had to pitch a prayer with Sonny Gray-er-by-the-minute, CC finally looked his age against the best team in baseball and Torres just came off an injury.

I'm still excited about the rest of the season. Boston's possibly historic slump is on it's way.

Well, I'm not going to get into those kind of excuses. Like other teams, we have some guys playing above and some below expectations and I don't think our top players have missed more games than most teams' top players have. We're just a very good team that is way behind a currently phenomenal team. If that doesn't change this year, hopefully the Steinbrenners will make major upgrades over the off-season. I don't think they'll settle for second best - at least I hope they won't.

We are not as good as the Redsox right now. 162 game season vettes out teams for what they are.
Team is .600 and that's usually pretty good for 1st place. This vintage redsox might be their best team EVER!!!!
They might falter and we might regain the early trajectory.
We might lose the wildcard game and go home early.
Long way to October! Enjoy the ride.

Finally found a niche for Sonny! Short relief!
Thank God Andujar can hit, because he's a bear in the field.

Juan Carlo with the slam! Nice rebound series. Thanks for suhucking so bad, Chisox!

I remember hearing this was supposed to be the stretch of games where we play crap teams and the Bosox have a tough schedule. This may get fun.

Britton and Lynn, and now we have a first baseman who hits pop up home runs off his bat handle. Cashman's not doing a bad job.

If Bird actually gets anything going, I wonder if Voit can get some time behind the plate...

It's been a good season overall even though the Red Sox have outshined us. If the wild card game were today, I'd have much more comfort with Tanaka than Severino pitching.

3-2, 10-1 [thank you, David Price].... do I dare talk about a RedSux sweep? Don't the Yankees already wear black cleats????

Severino's back! Judge his hitting loud outs! Luke Voit is ADROIT!

Severino starts. I do understand the reasoning behind it and it's a better decision than going with Happ, Lynn, or CC.
