If you have cable and MSG and all that, why do you even care if the games are on National TV. I mean, if you don't have MSG, or even cable, then I can understand. Just a few years ago, I didn't have any cable, so it was a big deal to me if the games were on NBC or ABC. However, why do you care, if you already have MSG in the first place? Is YOUR face being placed on TV when the games are on ESPN? Do you have some sort of deal with TNT, if they put the Knicks on?

And please don't tell me you want our players to get more National recognition, b/c you know full well, them being in NY, that they get plenty, when they play great, or terrible. So why does it matter?

Yeah, but some of the people on this site get absolutely irate when they learn we only have a couple to no games on National tv, or are dancing in their glory when they learn we have a few games on it. I never really understood why. As long as it's on tv, then it's all good.

The only benefit to being on national tv is all star voting. Many people outside of NY never get to see Curry, Dlee and company play

OK, you have a point, and you'd have a bigger point if they weren't NY players. However, there are so many people from NY, that just remember, they can just get the NBA league pass. They can also watch and listen to games on the internet and all that. Expensive? Yes. However, a lot of people get league pass for that very reason.

NY Knicks rarely get support for the all star games. Being left off national tv is one of several reasons. But it still is a factor regardless of how many or actually how few shell out the $170 for the nba league pass. Most casual fans watch their local tv and the national tv games not league pass

National tv games aren't about whether we get to see the games. That's just silly. It's about the recognition of being good enough and having fans outside the tri-state area get to see us. It's also nice to listen to different announcers. Some of the MSG announcers put me to sleep at times.

For Knick fans who live out of range of Cablevision, it is somewhat important.
lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

Obviously the people who make a big deal about it are talking about team recognition by NBA and general bbal public.
For people who feeling degraded as fans because of pure Knicks performance last 8 years return to national TV will serve as the sign of team going in right direction.
At least this will be an argument that team is heading in right direction and will take an argument away from people who a calling heads to fix the organization...
