Scary stuff.
I notice the kid was in the house, and a second later he is outside the house. When did he leave the house? Why did he leave the house after the father said wait here as he got up to check out the sound at the door. Why did the girl get to the door before the father? Also, the first 40 seconds was a waste of my time. I didn't appreciate that. As a viewer, i felt a sense of fear with the timing and the forboding nature of the radio. The radio was your strongest character. Also, you probably couldn't hire professional actors. I would have identified more with them if they were stronger. The girl could have showed some more emotion. [Edited by - kam77 on 08-02-2007 5:49 PM] lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. Thanks for the suggestions and questions.
The reason as to why the kid left the house is because as you know, kids don't listen to what their parents say. You have the girl saying that she wants to go Christmas shopping, shes looking up people on her Razor phone, etc. As for the girl, she went to the window first and the father went to the door. Appreciate the questions and comments. |

Posted by LongIslandKnicksFan: I know. But you should show the kid walking out the door as maybe some news comes on the radio so we can freak out and be more scared and identify more. The kid walking outside... why? Maybe he saw something out the window and wanted to check it out despite what the dad said. Maybe he left his bicycle outside and wants to bring it in... or better yet... he sees his dog out there lying on the ground and he defies his dad anyway. Then you could have a scene where the Dad is pulling hte sister away from running after him. It just surpised me that you skip to the kid outside and we have no explanation to his motivation. Its not enough to expect the audience to identify with misbehaving kids. lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. Shooting is the temporary sound byte. Final version will have a car crash as the first sound they hear, and then second will be car alarms going off, rather than bullets.

Somebody seriously needs to get at me about doing a music video for my band -- AND / OR -- using my bands music in a film. Check the band out at the myspace page (listed in my sig).
Longislandknicksfan, I already watched the previous Zombie flick you did. And I was very impressed. I'll peep your new flick and get back at you. Youngspike, I'll check out your stuff as well. Good luck to both of you. I'm serious about the collaboration stuff. My band would love to mess around with movies and such. I'd love to help score a horror flick. check out my latest hip hop project: https://soundcloud.com/michaelcro http://youtu.be/scNXshrpyZo

Actually it wasn't scary... more funny.
Muslim terrorist... it's laughable. With their all suicide bombing they are sooo dumb. I guess some local gangs or crazy people will be much scarier. Like group of crazy Iraq veterans who think they are still in Bagdad so they was thinking this boy is suicide killer and they come over rape the girl, kill the man, put the AK47 close to him and call CIA to clean up. Then when CIA agent arrives crazy vets decided that this is Medhi Amy militants and kill them all. You can add some beheadings and Osama stealing nuke bomb from Iraq and this will be a bestseller… "There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio, Than are dreamt of in your philosophy." Hamlet

Posted by LongIslandKnicksFan: Yeah, I did. And I thought the cut I saw was well-done. It was a little while ago so I don't recall specifics. However, I do recall thinking that it flowed well and that it was very polished for what you said was still a rough cut. I wasn't surprised though because like I said before -- I really enjoyed "The Night They Came Back" (that was the title of the zombie flick, wasn't it?). Did you get the CD I sent? It seems like we lost touch on the email. Feel free to hit me up whenever you're ready to talk. check out my latest hip hop project: https://soundcloud.com/michaelcro http://youtu.be/scNXshrpyZo
