I have to admit - and h8 myself for it - but Little Man N8 is growing on me like his puffy afro that is obviously being cultivated for corn rows come autumn. Or he's going Ben Wallace and hoping it gets him to the 6-foot level.

"I'm working out at the practice facility still," N8 says in the interview. "I'm staying here in New York -- I'm not going home to see my friends and family. I told them that I am trying to do my best in the NBA now and go down in history, so nothing against my family, but right now I'm hungry. I want to win, I want to go to the playoffs, and I want to win a championship. That is my goal, so now I am not going to let anything get in my way. So I am just working out and conditioning. I am watching a lot of film. I'm watching a lot of Steve Nash and other great point guards in the NBA and am just trying to get it done."

And when he was asked about returning to the Slam Dunk competition, you have to appreciate his answer: "I am always up for the challenge of trying some new dunks and coming up with some dunks that nobody has ever seen, but right now all I want to do is win. I will give up everything I can just to win games."

We want to believe you, Nate. We really do.

I love that ending. I do want to believe him. I really do. Instead all we can do is wait and see. We've been told things before.
I just hope that people will like me

Go Nate! I think a lot of the talented but un-disciplined Knicks like Nate and Eddy are tired of hearing that they are losers.
If you are still following the team and reading sites like this, there is nothing, short of your own demise, that is going to throw you off this train.

I've never been a big talking fan myself, but if Marbury were saying this stuff, I wouldn't be trashing him nearly as much. At least Nate is working on what's important.

Talk is cheap.

All that talk and a dollar will get nate a copy of the New York Times.

Don't talk about it, BE about it.

Let it be known: I believe in the Knicks this year-- deep into the playoffs, I swear to you my brothers...

The interesting thing is that if Nate actually learned how to be a PG, he would be a pretty good one. You give him 30 minutes, and I could easily see him averaging 18 pts and 7 assists on an uptempo team.
Trust the Process

The guys talent level is off the scale as far scoring. He was making some nice passes during summer league.

They say it takes a while for guys to settle and learn the NBA point. Nate has to learn in because he is 5'9". Kid is so freakin strong, quick and explosive. If he can reach his potential he could be on par with any of your favorite young point guards.

I'm rooting for him. He can't let Collins or dickau get him traded!!!

You gotta put nate in and have him press the other team's pg for as long as he can and then sub him back out. 3 bursts of 5 minutes each in a game would rattle the other team.
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

He doesn't need a lot of time to be effective. He's such a spark plug. He needs to focus on giving max effort on D and really running the team right when he's in there.

Hey I was just happy to see him trying to get better at playing the point in SL. If he can begin to realize that he can always call his own number, but that it's better if he only does so as a last resort. This is the 1st i've ever read of him studying film and staying in NY to get better. So i'm happy to hear that as well. It's no guarantee, but it's better than reading about him messing around during the summer.

Nate's a role player, and very much tradeable when you have a team without a good GM, coach, or franchise player...
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

Go Nate! I think a lot of the talented but un-disciplined Knicks like Nate and Eddy are tired of hearing that they are losers.

So if they improve we should probably thank the people that have continued to get on them and push them to get better.

All Knicks players must be obligated by coaching stuff to read UK first thing in the morning
IT must be obligated by Dolan to read it each hour...

It's great for Nate
to concentrate
I hope that he will not abate
Practice at a higher rate
To be a point guard and create
Chances for all his team mates

I agree it's really great
That he remains in New York State
And that he hopes to elevate
His game and thus repudiate
The fans who criticize and hate
The game he hopes to elevate

https:// It's not so hard.

Nay nay nate.....
His fans thing he is great!

He went to charm school.....
So he won't talk like a fool.
His talk now is all about team....
And flash the pearly whites will marketing gleam!

But in the end, its all the same.....
He just wants to not get blame!
His will is strong, ignorant and unbending......
His agent reminded him that his contract is ending!
