How many Eastern teams have not made it into the playoffs since 2004?

Three.

One of them is Atlanta.
The other is an expansion team.
Wanna guess which one is the third?

Nixluva, you can claim all you want about 6-8 year windows,
but in this league you better either be in the playoffs, or picking in the top 5.
If I don't see this team in the playoffs this year, I want Isiah FIRED!

This doesn't really mean much to me. If you're trying to remake your team, which we clearly started to do when we hired LB and traded for Curry, then you expect some sort of time for the process to be completed. We basically had 2 years completed since the Curry trade and last year wasn't a total failure in terms of developing this team. Now we're heading into year 3 of the Curry Era and I see no reason to panic. The team is the best it's been since Isiah got here and I expect this to be a very good year.

I mentioned the 6-8 year window in terms of this current team and that's a good thing. We want a team that should be competitive for the longhaul. To me it's not just about this season. I do expect that we'll get into the playoffs, but it's not like it's gonna be a cakewalk. The East has stiffened up. This is why i'm glad Isiah added Zach. He's not done. We have too many players and so we know something will have to be done, so we'll see what that is.

a Whopping 3 seasons? Thats unheard of in pro sports. Has any team ever missed the playoffs 3 straight seasons before? That has to be some sort of record

Has any team ever spent half a billion dollars and traded away so many #1 picks and STILL missed the playoffs for 3 straight seasons before?

Now THAT has to be some sort of record.
