man, i wanted to talk about the giants for awhile now. you know what, it doesn't matter if strahan or rice would come. the results are still the same. we are going to stink in this division. reece hardly did anything this offseason to fill holes. do we have a kicker? do we have better offensive linemen? did we improve our linebacking corp? did we address the secondary ineptitude? unless people know more than i do, no we didn't. it seems like we are setting coughlin up to fail and with this squad and an improving division that will happen. strahan sees the writing on the wall and wants no part of it. who can blame him? he has a championship heart and deserves to go to a champion or just end his illustrous career like tiki.
Giants are alot closer than you think. OL should be fine. David Diehl did well at LT and they have a more than adequate replacement for him at Guard. Brandon Jacobs is gonna be a beast next year and the running game should still be fine.
Giants will focus on the power run game. A more straight ahead, simpler approach might just be what Manning needs. Another plus is they'll have some intelligent playcalling with Hufnagel gone.
We have kicking options. We got Lawrence Tynes from KC and a strong legged prospect from Ohio St. named Josh Huston.
This Defense under Spagnuolo is gonna have the aggression that Lewis' D lacked. Kiwi and LB could be a huge weapon. I think you'll be surprised at how well they play this year.
This team should be at least as good as last year if not a couple wins better.
