Barkley: He has a player point of view and would be completely honest.

I probably would like to her both. Imagine that, I want more than one perspective on a story. Do you really get a rise out baiting people into this kind of flaming war playa?
A glimmer of hope maybe?!?

Mike Breen has been known to cover for refs during ball games , making excuses for calls they have made during games that he announced.

To hear him speak now would be priceless.

But he's gambled alot him self and lost, so his explanation would be hilarious.

Breen.....

Because as non objective as the LOVERS may feel he is, he's actually has one of the more objective views in this sport plus he was a ref. Even his comments from Game 3 of the Suns vs Spurs had him miffed concerning the officiating.

Not Barkley.....

Because he's going to act like a Sally on the subject, primarily defending Stern and don't want to hear from someone who doesn't feel losing 50mil dollars due to gambling is a problem.

That's your opinion. I happen to enjoy listening to him, besides when he's sucking up to the refs, and yes, he is sometimes critical of them too He wouldn't be doing the NBA Finals if he made people's ears bleed, especially considering that the finals have had low ratings. Wouldn't you think that would make them put the best of the best up, even more? Breen is fine.

Maybe he is part of the reason for the low ratings. I know of non Knicks fans that cant stand listening to him.

How many times a year can you can you hear his laugh followed by during a loose ball situation that you can just jump on a guys head? 10? 20? 40?

That's true. I run into many people around the country who say that it is ridiculous that only Knick announcers get to call network games. e.g. Marv Albert and Mike Breen. I guess it is the same way for most medium. It seems that most NY media personalities get the national jobs.

Lets not bring Marv into this, pervertedness aside, duke was arguably the best that ever did it...Breen is a nerdy ass, know-it-all with the charisma of drying paint and the excitement of watchin' your grandpappy sweat in gridlock. Plus he is obsessed with defending these incompetent ass refs. He screams middle-America "safe" and his performances are at the top of this list when it comes to ABC's wack ass coverage of the NBA. Thumbs down to Breen and his defenders.

I heard Barkley on ESPN NEWS lastnight, he called Donaghy an Idiot and said this was probaly a one man deception.

But if it isn't Stern will be in pretty deep stuff.

I laughed because Barkley sounded apologetic in his response like he was working for stern himself.

Where is Mike Breen Vacationing, he's due to give his take on these tumltous
event.
