I'm sure that the Jordan era games (ie: he got the advantage more often than not) were fixed.

A little bit of "for sure" and "yea all major sports had the fix," is my answer for this.

i suspect that throughout the jordan era. i even mentioned that to college friends who were jordan fans. they did not disagree. jordan had ticky tack fouls called on him constantly and charles smith was fouled throughout the play, but that is still not an excuse for him, to take it up strong. we had some beneficial calls too when we were doing our thuggery in the oakley/mason days. plus they shouldn't have called a foul on pippen when he touched hubert davis so it goes both ways.

I have always maintained that the Hubert Davis call was a makeup call for Smith the previous year.

Never thought about it in terms of fixing for gambling.

I thought Jordan was elevated as its was good for the NBA.

I thought Smith not getting fouled was the refs not making a call to change the outcome of a game. We see this more than not.

Was it fixing it so more fouls were called (on both teams) to affect the over/under? If so... that doesn't point to fixing the outcome of games necessarily.

Let's not make reckless assumptions from one ref acting on his own to a league-wide conspiracy. Its too early and likely too off the mark.

The fix was definitely in during the N Y Knicks & the Houston Rockets Final in 1994...And some wonder to do this day ...Why Pat Riley didn't pull a cold John Starks;when you had Rolando Blackman & Hubert Davis on the bench - who could not of done any worse!

What is fixxing? Refs making calls that favor teams (Whether the calls are good or not) or to raise or drown the score? Or telling teams to purposefully lose?

If refs are paying teams to lose or something like that, then I say NO, that did not happen. If refs made calls in order to change the score or to favor a team, then yes, I believe that happened.

I don't think teams would dare lose on purpose though, for gamblings sake. Maybe to get LeBron, but that's all, and that's kinda gambling too, when you think of it.

regardless if it was one Ref or not, I hope this puts an END to the "superstar" treatment and start making the refs call the game, down the line, from start to finsih.

There was a pressure back then not to call things like Jordan pushing off on Russell. There is also a momentum that the fans and the officials get caught up in when someone like Jordan is taking over a game, season, decade.
