Man, I was saying we should go after Jack as an anti-marbury guard of the future. They don't seem to like Jack in portland..... we already did one deal, why not two????

They seem to obssess with picks. Give them a number 1 lottery protected and Nate for Jack and a second rounder back.

If we gave they get a pick, I would rather send Collins the Nate. Also they still have Raef and Miles big contracts, Maybe we could turn a rose and James into Raef.

But it seems like they want to draft every player on their roster.

Isiah has really screwed the knicks with his inability to be creative we shouldn't have rose, jefferies, or james on the roster, and he should have made the smart pick which was Jack, which i was begging for. The guy is a leader, he is big, he is physical and goes about his business.....He had the chance to get a better version in lowry last year but didn't.

We need to get Rid of the following: Jones, Dickau, Crawford, Jefferies, James, Nate but who wants them

Who wants Jamaal and Nate???? Who doesn't??? The thread is about trying to get Jack, how do you turn it into a dumping on who ever???

If Jack came I would rather trade Collins, because Jack is a better version of him.

how about we just tank the season and land in the lottery and get a PG that way.

Or, we could try to win, miss the play offs, barely, and end up with a mid level pick.

A #1 and nate?? WAY TOO MUCH to give up. You can't keep throwing away #1 picks.
fishmike 9/27/2024 11:00 PM Ug I hate this. The idea of Towns is great until you see what a pussy he is. Jules is a dog. DD was a flamethrower locked up cheap for 3 more years. First Leon move I hate

Jack's not much of an upgrade over Mardy IMO... i think if u give Mardy minutes he can give you 10 & 6 type #'s easy & play better defense than Jack to boot... Jack wouldn't start over Marbury either... why give up any assets for a backup PG that might not even be the 1st PG off the bench?

I guess people thought that way about Chauncey Billups too. If they havent gone 18-9 45% --some people cant see that they can. Marbury is not going to last much longer.

well then i guess i'm some people, because Jack doesn't wow me in the least... i think Mardy has just as much talent & can give you better defense at the position... just my opinion.

One good thing about Isiah not being able to make another deal is that it will allow us time to get a look at the young players we have. I honestly feel that we have what we need already on the team. Mardy, Nichols, Chandler and Balkman would give us what we need if we allow them to develop. All this pushing for trades is just more of the same stuff that so many have been complaining about and yet they keep suggesting more trades.

I want to see what these kids can do. They have a lot of upside and they fit our needs. We'll be right on track in a couple of years if we can be patient.

I like when Thomas ran the three guard lineup. I could see him really using Mardy in a role of point forward. Shooters/Penetrators at the top with power post down low.

That is the interesting wild card in the whole debate over the minutes at the 3. We could really play Mardy at point forward and let our combo guards run around for open looks while Zach and Eddy set screens for them and get into post position.

Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

He is a good young pg who would be a good fit. But why do you think he might be available?

Was not Jack considered the 2nd coming of Marbury in Tech? He is supposed to have like the same game. Considering how we (well a lot of us) feel about Marbury, why the sudden love for Jack?
A glimmer of hope maybe?!?
