OK, Summer League is not a big deal, and we know Mike and Chris hate the NBA but come on. No mention of a little optimism here? Nate wins the MVP, the picks look great, how about a little Knicks teaser.

I think Mike is a great sports radio guy. Mad Dog has no idea what he's talking about, looks unprepared and I'm almost embarrassed for him sometimes.

I love the Yankees, but its rough that they talk about them 95% of the time for 6 hours of radio.
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

I don't think Summer League should garner that type of attention. I mean I have the same feeling minor league baseball or Winter baseball. Personally, I don't care much for NFL training camp as well. I get up for spring training, and pre-season NFL and NBA. Those other events are for die hards.

Summer League is the only training camp that gives the fans an indication of how their prospects are turning out.

i like summer league more than nba preseason.

face it, unless you are a hoops junkie (like 95% of this board), nba summer league is one of the most boring events of the year. for nba fans, its better than pre-conference play in the NCAAs and any other sports preseason.

Mike & Dog are topical frontrunners. They cater to the biggest audience and an older crowd. They aren't really about the young and hip crowd and they REALL don't have much love for the NBA. Chris is clueless unless it's Tennis or baseball. Mike is mainly a football and baseball guy. Put em both together and they still don't know jack about BB.

They'll jump on the bandwagon late, if the Knicks start winning this year tho. They used to love Checketts and Grunfeld. They got a kick out of Layden and basically tossed him softballs for most of his time here.

They basically say that they won't mention the Knicks until they win a playoff series, but they don't treat the other teams like that.

LOL no kidding. You turn on any radio station nationwide and you won't hear them mention the word Summer and League in the same sentence yet alone talk about it in depth. Here's what you nitwits need to understand about the Summer League it means this.......

2:50min mark

2:05min & 2:40min mark

If Isiah doesn't get any tangible results in terms of Wins this season, he could find himself living in a van down by the river.

PRE-SEASON CAN BE MISLEADING TOO. Some teams go undefeated in the preseason and then ,doesn't win a game until mid november.
JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

I have been saying this for a long time

The Knicks will get optimism when they deserve it. They are still a capped out ill concieved team constructed of guys with bad contracts who have never been considered winning players in the NBA.

When the Knicks starting playing well and beating NBA teams the rest of the world will start to believe.

In the meantime we are a .400 team with an $80 mill payroll, and have been since Isiah got here

I'm with Fishmike on this one. YOu don't get credit for being the "greatest 33 win team of all time". YOu get credit for winning games. When the team starts winning regular season games instead of summer league games than people will talk about us.

Not to mention, it's summer league
I just hope that people will like me

Mike knows zero about the nba, and is always willing to offer his opinion as the right opinion and often just cuts callers off when they have a different view. Love the show but they couldn't know any less about sports outside of baseball, horse racing, and tennis between them

They are very good with both the NFL and College Football as well.
