utah gets nice return for disappointing player:

jj2 + Q for AK-47. the 2 for 1 trade helps clear a little space and maybe andrei can find his game in ny with new comrades

crack is for homeless guys.

cmon man.
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

I might do JJ2+Q+Balk for AK-47.

No way do I trade Balk for AK47 and his horrid contract. Dont like the way he sulked last year, due to his lack of inclusion in the offense. Cracked under pressure big time in Utah. How would he handle the pressure of playing in NY? Not to mention he's very brittle.

That's more fair, but at the end of the day we have nothing they'd want.

They want a starting SG........ a good one. AND a suitable replacement at SF.

zeke should not have to give the bank to get AK-47. i agree with bigbeast, you may want to hold off balkman and i would include a 1st round draft pick to up the ante

I could see an offer of JJ2, fred jones, and Dan Dickau and a protected 1st round pick (Top-15 protected) for AK47. AK47's value is at an all-time low and I doubt there are more than 1 or 2 teams willing to take on his contract. This deal gives Utah cap-relief and a defensive SF to take AK's place. It also resolves our roster problem. I would not give up any of our young players for AK-47.

just curious where you expect to allot the minutes among the young guys if you add AK47 to this roster? unless you plan on having Chandler & Nichols riding pine or playing in the D Leagues next season?

Actually, I personally would not do a trade for AK-47. His contract is huge and he would take time away from Balkman, Chandler, and Nichols. If I were IT, I would stand pat at the SF position or even try to move JJ2 for a PF or Center and then cut JJ1.

The thread asked what would be a fair offer and I responded as to what offer I thought might work for both teams, but I would not recommend doing a trade for AK-47.

how about Zach Randolph & Jefferies for AK47 & Matt Harpring? i think that gives this team better overall balance & fills our need for a shotblocking & defense... Harpring's a tough player who plays D & can make the open shot too.

C - Curry / Morris / Turd
PF - Lee / Malik / Harpring
SF - AK47 / Balkman / Chandler
SG - Q Rich / Jamal / Nichols
PG - Marbury / Mardy / Nate

something tells me UTAH would never make that trade though

AK47 is coming off a very bad year. I'd pass on deals for him.

Just taking his albatross of a contract off their hands is doing them a giant favor.

I could see getting involved in a three way for AK47- ship him elsewhere, not here.

I don't think Dallas has a way to get him- but I could see him being a fit there...
