You would have to be blind not to see the Berman and Marbury link the last 2 years. Berman has basically been Marburys paid hack.

Anyway here is the blog. Does this sound like Marbury?
THE STARBURY BLOGS

Knicks point guard Stephon Marbury will be the guest Knicks blogger this week as he files dispatches from the road during his 38-city, 17-day, crosscountry bus tour to promote the discounted Starbury sneaker/apparel line.

By STEPHON MARBURY

It's been said to whom much is given, much is expected. I also believe one who gives can expect much in return.

It's been a rewarding week for me. I met last Wednesday with Mayor Bloomberg about my pledges to New York City, and now I've got the opportunity to spread the "Starbury Movement'' that is bigger than basketball.

Our 38-city bus tour began Friday morning at Columbus Circle. We handed out "Starbury Movement Tour'' t-shirts and free sneakers. The bus rolled onto a Steve & Barry's store in Mt. Holly, N.J., then onto Philadelphia last night. Today we hit Steve & Barry's stores in Baltimore and Woodbridge, Va.

I signed autographs for two straight hours in Baltimore, the line was so long. One of the highlights for me was meeting one of my biggest fans who came all the way from Spain. His name is Jon and he's 17-years-old.

He said he's been following me since Georgia Tech and would stay up until 2 a.m. to watch me play when NBA games came on TV over there.
He stays plugged into the movement through our website starboard and saw we were going on tour.

When I say our mission is to change the world, that's what I'm talking about.

On a different note, I consoled a young kid whose father was planning to bring him to the signing but was killed last week. His mother brought him anyway because she said that's what the kid's father would have wanted. Powerful stuff.

Then there was a very charismatic lady named Sylvia who drove 45 minutes with five kids from just outside of Delaware to say thank you. As she said to me, it's not easy providing for a family of five and Starbury helps make her burden lighter. When I say it's bigger than basketball, that's what I'm talking about.

I have been richly blessed in life through the gift of basketball to discover what is truly expected of me now...to give. In the meeting with Mayor Bloomberg, he urged I channel the pledges toward the 9/11 memorial - a fund thatmeans more to him than anything.

Mayor Bloomberg has his own cubicle just like everyone else. That was fly, the Mayor, one of the richest people in the world, still humble, still servant to the people.

Basketball is a gift that was given to me. But it is just a game. A game that I love but it does not compare to the gift of changing people's lives which is the purpose of this trip.

We are servants to the people. As we travel across the country, we are serving a bigger purpose, spreading hope and providing access for all.

People from all walks of life are lining up for hours to give back by showing their appreciation. It's something I never expected but am humbled by.

In the last few weeks, I had a lot of discussions with Kevin Duran t's people to see if he would join the Starbury flagship.
I never spoke to him directly, only the people who control what he's doing. I told his agent Aaron Goodwin about the formula and new business model we've developed for the sneaker industry.

They seemed interested but decided to go in another direction. I hear that Nike is coming out with a Kevin Durant shoe for $50 or $60. I guess we're doing something right. I have love for the young kid and want him to do well.

I am excited about the upcoming season. Our team is playing well in the Vegas summer league. I can't wait to go to battle together. Big things are happening on and off the court. And the best is yet to come.

Yes and no. Him saying there's a kid from spain who stays up till 2am to watch him, and that is what "changing the world" is really about does sound like Steph. On the other hand, no way he spells "charismatic" properly without a ghost writer.

No mention of "comrod", "escape goats" "better ho's".

Sure sounds like Marbury must have taken a bunch of English classes in the last week.

I dont care about that stuff though. Its his obvious Berman connection that catchs my eye. Berman has really been Marburys PR guy for 2 years now.

Im still baffled over the "Changing the world" thing.

I don't know man... This really sounds like Steph...
Actually the basket ball isn't so big... I guess the "Starbury Movement'' is bigger.

What a comrod.

You mean cumrag?
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.
