If Isiah can't pull off a trade, which two Knicks will go? I'm sure most on this board would agree on who should go, but realistically, who do you think Isiah would release? There are a bunch of different combo's, so I guess the two 2 vote getters would be the 2 we feel would most likely be the ones to go.

Without a doubt Jerome James (sorry Marv ).. I'd probably then try and trade Nate for a draft pick and a guy who we would then just cut.

Jeffries. I have less use for Jeffries than James, just b/c we're thinner at center.

Jones has almost no shot to stick or get any playing time. I'm sure he knows this and will understand when he's let go. Dickau is another guy that will likely be let go. He has no shot to get any PT and it's only fair to him, to let him go and see if he can stick somewhere else. If the team wasn't so crowded with talent I wouldn't have a problem with either guy off the bench.

I agree with you. Never liked the Jeffries signing to begin with. But, realistically, do you really think Isiah would cut Jeff with 4years left on his deal?

Jones and Dickau are who Isiah will likely cut. But not before he tries to trade them.

I actually like Dickau. Think he's the only pure pg on the team. But, when its said and done, I think he's the first to be cut. Jones is tricky because Isiah drafted him, and he is a pretty good perimeter defender. Can't imagine Jones showing up at the voluntary camp without believing he'd be here this year. Could be wrong though.

This is such a haterboard. I can't understand why you all want to diminish the contributions that James, Jeffries, Dickau and Jones have made to this team.

Come on guys. Put aside the haterade and support Isiah and our players.

Dickau isnt that good. He's a bad shooter (percentage wise) and he's sucked every year except that one he was on New Orleans when the 2 guys ahead of him got hurt and he fell into a lot of minutes. If he was any good he'd get more minutes on all the bad teams he's been on, even if he's been injured some.

Mardy Collins is a better PG.

Over the weekend, Zeke statetd he isn't afraid to cut guys with guaranteed contracts and he wants to keep Dickau and Jones.

So maybe we have seen the last of JJames and MRose?

I voted James and the more I think about it, the more I realize Fred Jones is likely gone two.

He's a good defender, which we need, but he's undersized and we have some other guys that can defend at the position- namely Balkman & the two new kids- Chandler & Nichols.

I think Dickau sticks because he is a pure PG and having him around might help Nate, Collins, & Crawford become better PG's - and I won't be surprised if he gets time off the bench, possibly ahead of Nate & Collins.

I would trade Eddy and Zack for Defensive center and expiring and/or picks...

I think Rose stays b/c he has some value to other teams in a trade b/c of
a)his shorter term contract
b)veteran leadership
c)defense/rebounding

Whereas James and Jeffries have no value to anybody, especailly at their price.

JJslimz can play a few positions. Let him play Backup C in a run and gun unit with Zack, Balk, N8 and Collins.

I think Rose will request to leave and Thomas will oblige.

Could this be the year Isiah utilizes the D League?

He can send down any two of Chandler/Nichols/Morris (assuming/hoping Mardy has earned his spot) and wait to see if he can pull of a 2 for 1, or 3 for 1 type trade later on this season.

Otherwise, I'd have to say Jerome.

Malik to and Nate to Atlanta for a future first rounder? Gives them experience and scoring, plus nate is a box office draw.

Or Malik and Nate to Charlotte for a future first?

the squad has to be down to 15- I think the assignees to the NBDL still count against the 15.
