I was bored at work, and I'm a basketball nerd (*sigh*), so neway I think we need more interior defense and more cap-conscious contracts. So if teams come calling for Randolph, I think we should shop him once the trade **** is over:

So I broke down the teams that would have ANY interest in him (or who were rumoured to):

CHA
CHI
CLE
DET
HOU
IND
LAL
MIA
ORL
SEA
MEM
PHI
WAS

After I did that, I was still bored, so I figured out which teams would REALISTICALLY stay in the race.

The rest I dropped because of lack of veteran leadership (b/c let's face it, Zach is the next Sheed), or cheap ownership, or not enough contracts to make it work, or just because they can't offer enough. Or all of the above.

That pretty much leaves:

CLEVELAND- Lebron & Zach = Finals again
HOUSTON- Yao, Zach, Ming = Trophy
INDIANA- Zach's from Indiana
LA- Kobe, Bynum, Zach, + MLE = enough to keep KB?
MIAMI- Wade, Randolph, & Shaq = Trophy
MEMPHIS- have cap space and a case of the "sucks"
PHILLY - huge need, & might have enough smaller contracts to make it work
WASHINGTON - Arenas + Zach + Butler = deep in playoffs

I'm not gonna breakdown the kind of offers we could get, but IMO there are plenty of other Pf's out there, that come cheaper and are actually BETTER compliments to Curry.

What we need is interior defense, rebounding, and occasional scoring. Not a duplicate, especially at that cost and risk.

I just think Isiah should pull his head out of his ass and realize this is Franbury V2.0.
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

If we trade Zach to LA, I want Bynum and that's plausible.

LOL
Isiah is tuff guy - he never backups.
He will make it looks like this is working regardless
Or he will use Z-bo like an exuse.
He is public relations genious. He should work for president Bush to justify Iraq war.
IT is the only one who can do it. And nix, earl, and cossucs will help us to believe.

I agree about Isiah being a PR mastermind.

From a retards' perspective that is.

Anyone buying what he's shovelling deserves our pity and not our insults.

But Randolph + Curry is WAYY too slow for the NBA. And he's got 4 years 61 million left.

Can Isiah REALLY be stupid enough to trade for this guy for any other reason besides trade bait?

I'd love to get Haslem from the Heat.

Curry
Haslem
QRich
Crawford
Marbury

That's not half bad...

You are being alittle indecisive on the trade. Do you like the Randolph trade? yes or no?

p.s. Bob you are an idiot. You do not know basketball. Give it up.
fishmike 9/27/2024 11:00 PM Ug I hate this. The idea of Towns is great until you see what a pussy he is. Jules is a dog. DD was a flamethrower locked up cheap for 3 more years. First Leon move I hate

I don't know basketball?

I think you missed the part where the Knicks suck, play no defense, have no reliable veterans, can't shoot the 3 ball, and play no interior defense.

Not to mention the part where we just took on 61 million dollars.

Sure, at the end of the day I probly wouldn't trade for Fatoine Walker, but youre def. missing the point bozos -- Zach Randolph DOES NOT have high trade value. He's desireable, just not valuable...

Wow, the hate on this thread is ridiculous. Just because Bobs came up with a trade that he HE thought might better the team you guys are going to come at him like this? You guys act like you're holier than thou, it's disgusting.

I mean I wouldn't do Randolph for Walker/Haslem in 1000 years but jesus, you're going to say he's not a fan because of it? Look in the mirror.

Wilson Chandler and Randolf for Odom makes the knicks a much better team, more versatile and gives us what we really need next to curry a viable outside threat that can pass the ball and doesn't need it everytime up the court. You could even slide odom over to the three. I don't think a lot of people realize just how good this guy is, when he takes a pf off the dribble there is one person in the league that can guard him and that duncan......

Get rid of some cap for the long term and bring in this guy. We don't need bynum we have lee and curry in the frontcourt and la is not giving him up

Bobs doesn't know basketball, but he sure knows black people. He took a race matters course and he played on a basketball team full of black guys. PLuse he stayed in a holiday inn last night. Hes an expert on everything.

Zach and Curry is a very very different pairing than Steph and Francis.

This is what Zach does, Curry will never do this.
