I was bored at work, and I'm a basketball nerd (*sigh*), so neway I think we need more interior defense and more cap-conscious contracts. So if teams come calling for Randolph, I think we should shop him once the trade **** is over:
So I broke down the teams that would have ANY interest in him (or who were rumoured to):
CHA CHI CLE DET HOU IND LAL MIA ORL SEA MEM PHI WAS
After I did that, I was still bored, so I figured out which teams would REALISTICALLY stay in the race.
The rest I dropped because of lack of veteran leadership (b/c let's face it, Zach is the next Sheed), or cheap ownership, or not enough contracts to make it work, or just because they can't offer enough. Or all of the above.
That pretty much leaves:
CLEVELAND- Lebron & Zach = Finals again HOUSTON- Yao, Zach, Ming = Trophy INDIANA- Zach's from Indiana LA- Kobe, Bynum, Zach, + MLE = enough to keep KB? MIAMI- Wade, Randolph, & Shaq = Trophy MEMPHIS- have cap space and a case of the "sucks" PHILLY - huge need, & might have enough smaller contracts to make it work WASHINGTON - Arenas + Zach + Butler = deep in playoffs
I'm not gonna breakdown the kind of offers we could get, but IMO there are plenty of other Pf's out there, that come cheaper and are actually BETTER compliments to Curry.
What we need is interior defense, rebounding, and occasional scoring. Not a duplicate, especially at that cost and risk.
I just think Isiah should pull his head out of his ass and realize this is Franbury V2.0.
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure.
And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.
