I was watching the game last night of Cleveland v. Team China. I always thought Yi was overhyped, but watching this kid play, I see why the Bucks drafted him even though his people told them not too.
This kid is solidly built and aggressive and has a great shooting touch. He also blocks shots and can move laterally well enough to stay with most PFs and some SFs. I don't think he is the next Dirk because he does not shoot that well, but he has the potential to be the next K.G. or at least a middle class man's K.G. The kid is good and if he had played in America, I think he would have challenged Oden for top spot in the draft.

he's the Chinese Dirk when Dirk was first coming into the league... can shoot from the outside, drive to the hole, has good handle, can run the floor & finish well... not sure if he'll develop to be the MVP Dirk of today, but he's got the upside to do it IMO.

I thought Yi had a bad game. He shot the ball pretty bad but was active on the defensive end. He has very good upside. He is very agile and has a great first step. Good ball handling too. ZZ Wang looks better too, it looks like his game has improved a lot. Anybody knows his status with the Chinese National team, I remember it was a huge deal when he came to play for the Mavericks.
