here's the link (it's in spanish): http://www.ole.com.ar/notas/2007/07/05/01451057.html

memphis gm chris wallace went to argentina to recruit him. noc told wallace that he's comfortable in chicago but would be willing to play for memphis.

the current offers on the table: chicago offered 5 years $38 mil. memphis offered 5 years $46 mil.

The rumor that's been going around is a resigned Nocioni, Duhon and Joakim Noah for Gasol.

I don't see why Memphis would do that, especially if they can get Nocioni on his own.

Memphis is also supposedly hot after Navarro, who's definitely coming to the US now and is Pau's best friend.

I hope he goes to Memphis. He has a way of hitting key shots for the Bulls.

A refreshing change this year will be that we don't have to give a crap how well Chicago does, as it will not affect our lottery selection next year.
Also (as of now) it will be nice to know that we have our own pick to fall back on if things don't go well. (Somehow, tho, I have a feeling that will change).

Actually it'll be nice if the Bulls lose Nocioni cause they won't have the players to salary match a Kobe trade.

not having a healthy nocioni hurt them big time vs. detroit. he was basically just a body out there, turning the ball over while they had to thrust these rookies onto the court.

losing him for nothing would hurt. but i think if he goes to memphis, it will be via a sign and trade.

if a Kobe deal goes down, it's very likely we won't have to worry about the pick next year at all... not that it would matter if you're getting Kobe obviously.
After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.

Unlike you, I'm not too confident of that deal going down. And there are precious few other players that I would condone trading an unprotected pick for ever again. Maybe KG. Others not really attainable.
Just protect the top 5 picks. That's all I ask.
