That has more than 3yrs of NBA experience or who isn't on a rookie deal.

It's really annoying reading post from individuals constantly stating how such and such player is overpaid after new contracts are handed out. It's like because such player didn't sign here, there's this kind of save face response to say "Man that player is severely overpaid". When the reality of the matter is, if such player signed here we would have given him the same deal if not worse. We have absolutely no room to talk about overpaying regardless of the history we have here with dishing out contracts. Just a reminder though

We essentially gave these players deals when looked at objectively, not even counting the assets given up to obtain a couple of them, in which additional salary could be factored into their existing contracts

We traded for Marbury after he recently signed a 4yr $76mil extension by the Suns. I believe he had a yr or two left on his old deal before his extension kicked in. YUCK

We traded for Crawford gave him a 7yr $56mil deal when really no on else would. YUCK!

We traded for Curry gave him a 6yr $56mil deal when really no one else would. YUCK

We signed Jerome James to a 5yr $30mil deal when really no one else would. YUCK

We signed Jared Jeffries to a 5yr $30mil deal with a trade kicker mind you when really no one else would. YUCK

We traded for Q after he recently signed a 6yr $43mil deal with Phx. He only played one season for them under that new deal. He had 2 suitors besides the Clippers at the time he signed the deal(Denver and Phx). Looking at his health since the deal and trade....YUCK

Once again name a player who isn't overpaid in this league not on a rookie deal.

If you add Tyrus Thomas and Joahkim Noah's contracts to EY's and factor he's only a 1-way player uhhhhhhh sorry he's overpaid.

Crawford averaged 17 points in his last year as a bull. And Curry makes less then most starting centers in the league.

Rashard Lewis for 75-80 million is a over paying, doesn't matter how much you dislike the knicks is going to cover up that fact.

I stand corrected on Crawford and Curry has an opt out in 2yrs. We're just buying time before he gets an outrageous deal or extension.

What do Tyrus Thomas and Joahkim Noah have to do with Curry's per year salary? The thread was about whether everyone is overpaid. At $10 million a year, compared to other young big men in the league, Curry is not overpaid. He is paid about market value. In fact, if he improved his passing and defense this year, you might even be able to say he is underpaid.

I think that Isiah would have been too smart to draft Thomas.

It's not too hard to picture the team having Brandon Roy and either Oden or Durant had they played things much more intelligently

Actually it should read add the salary of the #2 pick in the 2006 draft and the #9 pick of the 2007 draft to Curry's salary.

Rich it's very debateable who the Knicks would have chose if the pick was kept.

you say "add Tyrus Thomas and Joahkim Noah's contracts to EY" and then say rookie scale contracts don't count.

Believe it or not, Ron Artest is NOT over paid. (same salary as malik rose, qrich)

Good catch BabyKnicks rookie contracts are essentially locked figures, particularly lottery picks with no room for negotiating. We gave up those picks so they have to hold some kind of value. Even so like I said Curry is eligible to opt in 2yrs and he's a 1 way player.

I see your point, but the funny thing is that if you look at the league, the knicks are actually paid on par for their output, with the exception of marbury (different contract, different era) and Jerome James.

Qrich signed during the kobe sweepstakes summer and that explains his contract as he was the second best available SG that summer.

We have no players making over $10 million this year with the exception of two players that received their contracts in a different era (the era of the max contract).

I read on another thread you (or one of your minions) claiming that Darko may "deserve" $10 million.

So, that begs the question, maybe the knicks are paid market value...especially NYC market value (for those that work in the nyc metro area and travelled to other areas of America can atest to)
Let's go Knicks. That's amare

The guy says no one is overpaid, and then in another breath says Curry is overpaid. WTF?
lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.
