So it's Draft Day, and the Knicks are up at the #9 spot. Let's say, for argument's sake, Lampe and Kaman have both already been drafted (very likely). If all of the following are still on the board, who would you like to see the Knicks draft.
Sofoklis "Greek Baby Shaq" Schortsianitis 6-10 287 PF/C
Mike Sweetney 6-8 260 PF
Anderson Varejão 6-10 230 PF
Pavel Podkolzin 7-4 300 C
James Lang 6-10 340 C , mostly because I hate myself.
a PG/SG/SF with upside, like Barbosa, Diaw, Pietrus, Outlaw, or Wade.
Other PF/C (Collison, West, Zarko, Mario)

But is athleticism our biggest concern? I think we really need to address our needs and get a big man who can take over for KT at the 5. Drafting a 3 should be our second choice, because right now a talented big man will develop a lot faster than a talented swingman would with limited minutes.
go knicks!

Trade the 9 for a young --proven big man like Stromile Swift. I think he would flourish on the Knicks and at 23 he is just coming into his own. At 6-9 1/2 240 with a 7-4 wingspan and a 38 inch vertical, we have no player like that. Even if we traded and ended up with Memphis's second pick at 27 we could bundle the 27 and 31 and move up into the 16-20 area and select either ebi or Outlaw. This way you are getting an established big man who can rebound block shots and score and a *potential* star for the future. With 38 we go after Bell.

There was an article today that said Andesren Veijo will fall well back into the draft because of his offensive skills which are negligent.

baby Shaq's agent wont let him workout against other players and has refused workouts to anyone so far-nor wilhe go to Chicago-- that will cause him to fall

Pavel is late first round at best
