Overall we're a fan base that complains a lot
years of disappointments, hundreds of millions of dollars spent, & nothing to show for it & i'd say fans are entitled to complain... especially when you spend your hard earned money buying tickets & going to games to witness a team that can't get out of its own way on most nights... fans in NY pay a premium price to support our teams, & they deserve better than what they've gotten over the past several years from this franchise... that doesn't mean you complain just for the sake of complaining... when a move is made that you don't agree with, you have a right to give your take on it... this is a message board afterall.
I agree with what you are saying in principle TMS and think that most of the fans are not happy with the results. That being said, if fans want to have an impact on the franchise complaining on a public forum, while ok to let off some steam, has little to no effect on the decisions made by management/ownership, who also has the right, money and power to make the decisions and roll the dice every year. Sure, they want to please the customer, but some folk will always find something negative that they don't care for and just like to complain.
Personally, I like the trade. We got ourselves a talented player and dumped another one that was no longer of any useful value to us. I did like Channing, but he is a casualty and fit the package. It is not just change for the sake of change. Right now, we are winners in a league where we have too often been losers. There is positive buzz around the league concerning this trade as favorable, and a daily news poll has Knick fans liking the deal at a 76% clip. We did get some value here. Whether it will pan out or not, we'll all just have to wait and see.
I know this, them boys better learn how to play "D" (see sig)
I'm hopeful that things will work out for us.
The glass is half full now.
