isiah gets zach.

is armed with $6 mil in expirings and a bunch of young players.

i'm expecting another pretty significant deal on the horizon.

looking at the landscape of the east, it looks like isiah's getting itchy realizing that a few moves could propel any team into a playoff run.

is that missing piece artest?

or someone in the backcourt?

with the talk of perimeter defense, artest makes sense...but is something else on the horizon?

If Dickau/Jones' expiring deals were going to be traded for an Artest, the deal have already been done and it would have been a 3 way.

If Dickau & Jones stay, someone else is getting traded, or Dickau/Jones will get released.

Between Malik, Balk, Lee, Crawford, Dickau, Jones, Collins and Morris, do we have the pieces to get both Artest and Lewis? I think its possible. Not saying I would do it, but the theme is "all-in."

PG-Marbury
SG-Artest
SF-Lewis
PF-Randolph
C-Curry

QRich, one of Dickau and Collins, Jefferies, James and a handful of whoevers left on the bench.

I agree with dj on that point. Seattle no longer where we can hope to dump off N8 or JC. And forget JJ.
lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

But Seattle would love to get cap relief+ players like Lee, Collins or Balkman.

We need a role player at the SF position, not a guy who is gonna demand shots.

Isiah is a sneaky mofo. Is there anybody out there that could be available that isiah could trade for?

What about dj's reflection grant hill? That is so left field it could happen . Dude has black ankles but he could provide outside shooting and leadership. Lmao.

Artest is too high on the Small Forwards available list. I can see AK47 for the expirings and Rose. Or a MO pete or Rubben Patternson/Bobby Simmons, Ricky Davis of player we should not get but that fills the defensive need at the least............. LOL.

A guy that can play SF that requires NO shots is Jared Jeffries...he plays D too.

Artest does demand shots. (we would trade Dickau, Nate and Balkman in this trade).

but we'd still need a guy that can make shots (thus eliminating balkman and jeffries as possible starters).

alot of our players are gonna have to sacrifice the way they've always played to make this work. and some players who never played defense before are going to really have to commit and care about it.

We need a Bruce Bowen / Shane Battier type offensive threat. Someone who is deadly when left open, but pretty much the 4th or 5th option on offense. His main responsibility should be defense.

we may have to look at golden state as a potential partner in deals. they have 4 players that can play some defense and hit the outside shot: sjax, harrington (although i don't think he's a sf), pietrus, and barnes.

Mo Peterson should be available. I wonder if he plays good D. You watch him DJ, whats the scouting report.

i like mo pete. he does play some defense (small things like stay in front of his man and force the defender into the help defense) and can hit the 3. conditioning was an issue with him last year and b/c of that, he kinda fell out of the rotation. but he is a good teammate and the coaches like him. not a bad choice.

but utah already made their first call of free agency to him (where he would fit perfectly) but i think he also has a nice choice of miami, detroit, and cleveland as well. utah can promise him a starting spot tho.
