There have been a lot of poster that have been in love with the Nazar deal because it netted us Lee and Collins, but yet again Isiah's lack of brain power was on display last night.

Paul Allen purchased two first round picks, the suns sold their pick last season, but isiah had to take on malik rose and his long term deal and add more salary, something he loves to do.

Or taking on Jalen Rose and his 20 million to get a late pick. I think there is a reason the bulls got a killer energy combo out of the eddy curry deal, isiah just doesn't seem to know better

I find it hard to believe when a poster mentions he could do a better job, and other posters get on him. I can firmly say i could do a better job than this guy.

Last night proves yet again he is in over his head and made yet another terrible decision, trade your first round pick and move into the second if your going to pass on the one thing we need a shooter.......

unreal

your looking at close to 60 million for picks 21, 23, 29, 30 just think about that for a moment, terrific point martin

honestly, prior to last night, I didn't know you can buy picks like Portland was doing.

They pretty much went to town, it was like they were grocery shopping. If this was always an option, then I agree, why not by the picks ?

Are there rules about who can and cannot buy picks? Maybe you can't buy picks if you're over the cap like the Knicks?

Teams HAVE been doing this. The Suns have sold their picks quite a few times in past years.

The only thing I can say is you've seen two picks brought and it was the Blazers buying the Suns pick...... I think there is some frat-boy stuff going on with those two teas and it isn't as easy as you make it MS. Not in the first round atleast.

It is that easy, 3 million is a lot to some teams around the league, especially when you factor in they don't have to pay 3 million to the player they are drafting, count it against luxury tax and you can end up saving around 10 million.......

It's actually quite easy to evaluate a player like: Jefferies, Francis, Rose, Mo Taylor, James, Crawford

And you can come to the conclusion that these players aren't going to help you win long turn or right now. Thats over 100 million in salary he added in three years and we have yet to reach the 35 win mark.

Fact of the matter we could have used Frye in another deal to free up cap room if isiah didn't trade for a broken down player something which has become common place since isiah took over

Really he just had surgery and there was a little concern about him going into this year, he played healthy fine, but then he leaves the team for undisclosed reasons and is partying in strip clubs while he is supposed to be taking care of family issues.......

I just think we brought in a dirt bag, and if he does get injured we are in the same situation with a guy that is making 18 million in the last year of his deal and he isn't even an allstar, spend wisely, he should be doing everything in his power to move zach to get lamar odom, the lakers are desperate

zach is an MFer..
In 2004-05, his production dropped somewhat; although he was injured for much of the season, some critics pointed a finger at Randolph for the Trail Blazers' troubles that year. In fact, late in the season Randolph announced that he would miss the remainder of the season due to a knee injury, for which he later had microfracture surgery.
