we wouldve been better off letting steve francis out of his contract[paying him off] and putting Balkman at the 4 then what this guy just did to this team. Disaster area.

I hear you man, there could be issues here... but... when you look at what we are putting at the 4 spot this year vs. what we put there last year we're in a better spot.

We have a guy who can drain the midrange, post, and rebound which is more of a package than the options we had.

I'm not really feeling this trade since I'm no fan of Zach Randolph, but I'm willing to see how this is going to work. No need to condemn it yet.

I hate this trade but I do find it ironic that guys that actually call for a trade of this guy are now making post on over this forum killing it. Martin and Andrew that search function is needed so badly.

Friggin' A guys, we got rid of Francis. I feel like doing a dance or something to celebrate that by itself.

Amen. Randolph is not a good defensive player, but at least he can play offense without turning the ball over every other time down the court. Any trade that got rid of Francis cannot be all bad.

I have supported Isiah whenever possible, but I'm done.

They had a chance to get under the cap in two years and he blew it for a player who doesn't block shots and has had microfracture surgery.

It's a stupid trade.

How is it a dumb trade? We had no guarantee that if we had cap space we'd be able to make the deal for a stud we wanted. I believe there was a good chance, but it would still be a risk. At least now the team is ready to go to war in a weak East. NO ONE has more beef up front than NY. We already pounded teams on the boards last year and now we just added another strong rebounder. If Isiah can work things out with both Zach and Curry on the floor together, we're gonna be real tough to deal with.

So because a team may or may not be able to sign a free agent they shouldn't even try to get under the cap? I couldn't disagree more. The Knicks have the ability to sell playing in the "mecca" of basketball. To not try seems way too timid. Isiah said that was his plan. He fooled me for the last time.

I want the teams I root for to build in a way that will lead to championships. IMO, this trade precludes that.

They have no interior defense and no shot blockers.

I think this trade was moronic.

I am all for getting a shot blocker but they just don't grow on trees. I mean Balkman blocks shot and isn't considered a shot blocker. I don't know what to say I hate Randolph but I am not crying over Francis going. As far as salary Cap, Knicks can move these guys, I no longer want to hear that anybody on this roster is not movable because it just look stupid saying so move after move.

Every time they move a bad contract it's for a longer and worse contract, so the real goal of moving the bad contract, to get under the cap, is negated.

Ya Boston really phucked up.

They mortaaged cap and talent for 3 year window with Pierce and Jefferson.

They won't make it past the 1st round.
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

At least Dairy-ass Miles was not thrown in.

Being a depository of JailBlazers would not be cool.

Isiah has 48 hours to make this work.

Lets hope he knows what he is doing.
