D Lee's not making $61 mil over the next 4, & he's a great likeable kid... what's so hard to understand about those of us who don't like this trade? go ahead & be happy w/this current roster, because it's not going to make the playoffs once again & we'll be right back here once again at the end of the year lamenting on our cap situation & why we can't make any FA signings for the next 4 years.

Don't worry Misterearl, some of us have our brains screwed on right. I can't say that I was clamouring for this particular trade, but to think that it doesn't make us better to have Zach here over Frye is ludicrous. 20-10 players at PF are what you want in this league, so what's the problem. PLUS we still have LEE!!!! I mean how can anyone complain about that? Frye couldn't defend anyway, so there's no change there, except Zach and rebound and is a beast offensively. I think we have a better team now after this trade.

DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

If Zack plays defense this is a great trade, but we've been down this road trying to make players change their stripes. It doesn't happen. I hope it happens but I'm not holding my breathe.

Earl whats the last move you didn't like? Have you ever disliked a move made by Isiah? I'm not talking hindsight either. Every single move that is made you are always onboard with, it doesn't matter if we were trading for a ham sandwich you are onboard.

let's trade for Kenyon Martin, Nene, Adonal Foyle, Erick Dampier & Larry Hughes & corner the market on albatross contracts... mine as well make a complete set & call it a day.

when have you ever heard me say that Renaldo Balkman isn't likable? he's been 1 of my favorite players since he showed he can play at this level.

please don't even suggest this has anything at all to do with race, ok? you think i'd have been any happier if Isiah had traded for Troy Murphy's albatross contract instead?

Van Horn was what he was.

I cringed at the Steve Francis trade because I liked Trevor Ariza.

Misterearl, the dislike of Randolph comes from the fact that he's awful defensively just like Eddy (0.7 blocks COMBINED), he's a potential personality disaster and our original plan was to get under the cap for the 2009 offseason and try to sign a top 10 NBA player (even though it was unlikely). Zack has a massive contract.

Talent-wise, we won on this trade. Francis wasn't being utilized (although he still has something left in the tank) and couldn't work with Marbury. Frye was underperforming and needed a change of scenery. Let alone I never thought he was that good to start with. So, on offense, Zack and Eddy are going to be absolutely dominant in the post. I have a LOT of worry about the defense and about leadership, but on paper, we improved. I'm not predicting a big improvement because the game isn't played on paper and I think there's going to be locker room issues. I think we'll win somewhere around 38 games because I think the other dynamics will cause issues. Reasonable?

well then explain what you were getting at then citing examples like Balkman & Mardy, when i've gone on record several times in the past saying those are 2 of the guys i don't want to see traded from this team because i love the way they play.
