Watch out for this to come to life. I'm not sure where West would be going

Bos would get J.O.

Ind would get Ray Allen possibly West

Seattle would get Wally, possibly West, #5 pick, maybe Theo

Here's what Bird has said

PACERS MAY TRADE FOR DRAFT PICK
Bird Says Pacers "Will Get a Good Shooter"

By Conrad Brunner | June 27, 2007

Larry Bird has identified the primary needs: a shooter and backup point guard. If one player can solve both, so much the better.
The Pacers President has no doubt he'll be able to address at least one of those issues but whether it happens with Thursday night's NBA Draft remains to be seen.

"We will get a good shooter," Bird said. "We'll get one of the top shooters in the league. It might not be the biggest name in the league but we will get a guy that can shoot the basketball. We can go either way (either by acquiring a draft pick or a veteran) but we will get a shooter."

The Pacers currently hold no picks, a scenario that has sparked quite a bit of debate among fans. Coming off a 35-47 record and the first non-playoff finish in 10 years, one school of thought suggests breaking up the team by trading veterans for draft picks and rebuilding with young talent. Bird, however, doesn't attend that school.

Good trade for Boston. They get JO, they don't have to give up one of their best young players and they get rid of Wally.

Obviously because Ind wants Ray Allen. Wally is really a gimp good for 60gms maybe and becomes an expiring after next yr.
