(Randolph Morris is our first, of two, first round round picks)

I wonder how many of the same people who went ballistic over Renaldo Balkman (including Greg Anthony) will be present at MSG this evening?

Certainly, the cameras will be focusing on the most demonstrative Knicks fans who are so "passionate" and "knowledgeable" about basketball, but hey guys... can I ask a favor...?

... have fun, be loud, scream "fire Isiah" at the top of your lungs if it makes you feel better...

.. but don't simply posture and scream "oh no!!!!" just because you are on camera.

djsu - you going?

yes sir - i will be there.

dj's reaction last year during the draft:

"and with the 20th pick, the sacramento kings select quincy douby"

garden explodes. fans are standing and chanting "mar-cus wil-liams".

i stand up and am in shock of the crowd's reaction.

"and with the 21st pick, the new york knicks select renaldo balkman"

crowd goes into a damn near riot, surpassing the bowe/golata garden crowd.

dj grabs his draft handbook and looks for balkman. he's not in there. there's a 13 year old kid 5 feet away screaming "WHAT THE F CK!!!!"

dj sits down and just laughs. i then anticipate the knicks draft "devik harker" with #29.

------------

this year's draft will be fun no matter what or who isiah picks. the knicks are not really a big part of tonight...but i've learned that isiah won't draft a bust, he will draft a player that can play in this league. whether he fits with us or not is another question but the reaction would never get as bad as last season. the only way it would have if the bulls got #1 or 2.

(This Wilson Chandler thing seems to be taking on a life of its own)

djsu - your coverage of last year's festivities was proceless. I expect a full and detailed report on Friday.

My boy Sherman thinks Glen 'Big Baby' Davis would make a nice pro player. As he worked out for the Knicks, could he inherit Mailk Rose's minutes?

Booing is unnecessary only if he drafts Oden or Durant. Let's be fair.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

With the 23rd pick, the Knicks select ... wait, this just in, we have a trade.

The Knicks have traded the 23rd pick, David Lee, and five future 1st rounders for Ron Artest and a top-53 protected second rounder in 2017.

"BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Portland receives a conditional 2007 Toronto second-round pick. (Chris Dudley trade 101097) *Protected to 50 through 2012, no protection afterwards.

And if I'm not mistaken Portland has Toronto's 2nd draft pick today pick number ? given to them by I SAY UGH. It's more than likely a meaningless pick but comical nonetheless.

With the 23rd pick the NYKNICKS wait there has been a trade..... hearts pitter patter even faster.

The NYKNICKS have traded the 23rd pick and stephon marbury to the Vancouver Grizzlies for future considerations.. LIGHTS GO OUT
JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

Any trade that has Cancerbury going to another team is a win in my book. What we got in return would be nearly irrelevant. It would almost definitely be Isiah's first good trade.
