You know I think the goverment is trying to destroy the middle class. I don't know how people survive on anything less than $20 and hour. You gotta be married, living with your significant other, with other family or roomates.
Any people here making less than $20? Any people making more? Any people broke? Any people here working for theirselves?
Is there anything that can be done to fix this? I can only see things getting terribly worse. People are gonna have to survive some how.
I'm also predicting a mega stockmarket crash and a massive depression.
Doom and gloom? Paranoia? Do I have a legit reason to be concerned?

People need to make a bigger demand for alternate fuel. Milk, gas work hand in hand if gas goes up so does milk because truckers add their fuel surcharge to the price of the transported goods.
I liked it better when thrid world countries wern't on par with the USA now countries like China and India are on the way up and their demand for fuel is going up which in turn is making fuel cost more expensive for the US. Its time for the USA to stop relying on Oil and bring out the alternate fuel quickly.

You've got a simple choice: Support modern nuclear energy (clean and safe), alternative fuels, and unconventional sources of oil (tar sands, oil shale, ANWAR, liquid coal), and a modernized energy grid, or keep paying through the nose for energy prices... and everything else that is going up because of energy prices. Watch out for the catch 22 of ethanol though: If you make food into energy, the price of food goes up anyway.

I'm projected to make 75K this year. I thought that was a ton when I was growing up in Western NY, but living in Manhattan its enough to get by and live in a crappy apt.
I see may apt on the LES being surrounded by luxury skyscrapers that were allowed to be built there with the idea that it would devalue my rent and make life better for me... not happening.

1. Rent is stupid - get you own property. Why pay somebody and then pay taxes to finance Oil companies in Iraq and Drag lords in Afghanistan? 2. Leaving in City is stupid if you have less that $300 income. City is a place to make money not lose money 3. Milk is good. Just drink less. It is not good to drink too much milk for grown man - too much cholesterol 4. Gas is OK - the price in US is 2-3 times less that anywhere in the world. We need to get read of huge tracks and get back to electrical trains for transporting goods and more public transportation for people. One man in the car is retarded.
But hey this is America and people are free to be stupid and spend more that they earn and then file bankruptcy. Who cares? The banks already get all possible profit from you.
