Actually, the Knicks chances remained the same since they still have the same terrible trade assets.

What increased, assuming this is true and not just more posturing, are the chances that Kobe stays in LA for at least another year.

I figure that the Bulls would have to back off. They would have to pawn off Ben Wallace or PJ Brown to make the salaries work or half their team. I would like to see if Kobe is serious about sitting out. I haven't seen a NBA sit out since Jimmy Jackson.

Whats the point in sitting out when it doesn't change the fact that he still has to wait 2 years before he can opt out?

If that's the case I hope LA tells him to go F himself and forces him to play out the final 2 years of his contract. Just let Kobe bury himself as he desperately tries to force his way out. Then let his ass walk and use all that cap space on a big name.

That's unbelievable. If he came to New York, after about 2 seasons of failing to win big time, he'd be the A-Rod of basketball and he'd demand a trade (while killing his trade value in the process). History repeats itself.

If Kobe came here and won 1 single playoff series he'd be the King of New York - who are we kidding
