Seems that the players we draft, they never really have a chance to prove themselves in New York, because they dissapear so quickly, but then again, looking at the averages, they really don't blossom anywhere in the NBA, in they're career either.

Balkman, Lee, Collins and even Frye have a chance to change all of that.

I'll never trust this' team again.

Most of the years for which data is available we were a playoff team and had low picks.

We had Patrick Ewing' to get us into the playoffs, but never a supporting cast to get us over the top.

I don't recall the Knicks ever biulding a supporting cast from within. I think we have that chance now.
I'll never trust this' team again.

Or the KNicks never really care about drafting or were incapable of drafting quality players before Layden. I like Grunfeld but his gift is at signing free agents not drafting players. Thomas is just the opposite.

No argument here. I think lots of opportunities were wasted. They should have come up with something. There was not a good pick after 1994 (Charlie Ward) till I.T. came to town. (Not that Charlie was a GREAT pick either, but at least he was servicable).
