If Q is healthy, let me be the one to say that I want to see him start at the 2.
We've already discussed ad nauseum what JC brings to the table.
I think Q is a much better all around player, and is going to keep us in games.
Long range shooting, defense, even some rebounds.
At the SF I'll take either Balk or Lee.

Of course, I'll retract this if we get the Q of 2 years ago, but even
a non-gatorade drinker like me can hope...

I agree a line-up of Marbury, Q, Balkman, Lee, and Curry with Crawford as the assasin of the bench would be great, but there is no doubt in my mind that Zeke is starting Craw next yr at 2

You need more than one player who can dribble the ball. Teams would trap Marbury in the backcourt too easily.

Too slow for most sgs and also is not a creator with the ball. He really is a sf with a sg's height.

Q is a PowerForward in a 2 guards body. He has zero point guardskills and spot up shooting is his only 2guard skill. I can name Power Forwards who can fill a two guards duties better then Q.

I'm really worried that he might not be healthy to start the season. That's why I go with a shooter with some size in this draft above all else - a guy who can shoot it that's in the 6'6" - 6'7" range. Almond would be perfect (my first choice - the shooter with the height and the rebounding ability - perfect guy to fill in for Q), then Rudy Fernandez, then Bellini. If these 3 guys are gone, I go in a different direction and go with the defensive big man in Sean Williams.

I just don't want to see JC in the starting line up. At least at the 2.
I'd rather see him at the point where he can concentrate on distributing
rather than chucking, but we know that's not going to happen, as there's
no way we're not starting Marbs.

I said SHOOTING guard, not point guard.
Go ahead, I'd like to see your list.

If Q is healthy, why the heck not start him at the 2 guard? He's got great size as a SG... and WHEN HEALTHY, he can hit the 3, defend, and mix it up inside for offensive & defensive boards.

The issue is that he's got a chronic back injury - and while he had surgery to correct the condition, there's no guarantee that he'll gain his pre-injury form from a few years ago. The money says he'll be somewhere in-between, at least for next season. Two years down the road, who knows.

It's awkward starting Crawford alongside Marbury, since both of 'em like to control the ball (they both think they're PGs). We need a simple player that simply executes on offense - we don't need a playmaker at the 2G.

Hey remember Marty Collins?

I'm actually curious to see him paired with Craw. They would be a nice change of pace duo to throw out there.

Marbs and Q can be a fine backcourt as long as you have more players on the floor who can handle. I guess our best options to put out there with Marbs, Q and Curry would be Lee and Balkman if you didn't want Marbs to get trapped.
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

Panos, why are you getting mad cause no one likes your weird ideal of putting Richardson at the two guard? Then when we voice our displeasure, you come with that same ol' tired asz "I'd like to see your list."

dawg, aint no body making those ignorant asz lists but you.

What would the Knicks look like playing Q at the shooting guard spot? Get a clue.
