How old are you? Most of the music now is watered-down-disposable garbage thats light on the lyrics, heavy on corny hooks, and synthesizer computer beats that lack soul or any longevity.

Washed up? First off, I along with four of my collegues started up our own hip hop magazine back in 2001 (Da streetz). I was the senior editor and contributing writer. I've written articles that appeared in the now defunct Rap pages, and local Bronx Newspapers.

Lil' Wayne is whats poppin because of who? 14-15year olds say so? or is the game so lame, (like the atlantic division) that he just kind of stands out amongst the new breed of rappers comming up?

I'm young (20) and I could admit the game is not what it used to be. But things change over time. Lil' Wayne has skills but he is hot because everyone else is not.

I am expecting 50 and Kanye to heat it up this summer with some popular commercial bangers.

Lil Wayne is the hottest emcee in the game. Don't take my work for it. But he is the crowning prince of the entire rap scene. Not just southern but north, midwest, west coast, etc.

50 cent is stright up garbage. His own record label refuses to put out his forthcoming CD last week because they wanted more quality material out of the rapper. I mean, think about it? Who will be listening to 50 cent's music lets say, 10 years from now? Simrud? lolololololol

Fabo is aight with the methapors but Lil Wayne is on a 'hole nother level.

Hip Hop is dead. Lil wayne is the best of the new breed of rappers, which is like saying hes the best piece of **** in the toilet bowl. My boy gets down on all that midwest garbage, so ive heard of lot of his songs. Hes got some okay songs, but when youre talking about his music being the best in the summer that just goes to show how bad the game has gotten.

Oh yeah Lil Wayne DOES NOT write his own rhymes. Jay-Z writes for him.

Listen to 50's new song about the amusement park or whatever. That is so bad that I couldnt stop laughing in the car when I heard it. You really think 50 can heat anything up? His fan base is 15 year old kids from kansas. Str8 garbage. Hip Hop is dead

You are out your mind. Lil Wayne was in the rap game BEFORE Jay was.

Dude been rapping since he was like 8 years old.

Lil' Wayne Disses Jay-Z...Again
Click here to watch Lil' Wayne's video "Shooter" Rapper Lil' Wayne has criticized Jay-Z over claims he came out of retirement to save hip-hop from dying.

He cannot be making headlines dissing Jay if Jay is his ghostwriter.

Think.

Rapper Lil' Wayne has criticized Jay-Z over claims he came out of retirement to save hip-hop from dying.

The superstar - real name Shawn Carter - recently turned his back on rap retirement, claiming he was needed to breath life back into the genre.

But Lil' Wayne is incensed, insisting Jay-Z wasn't missed.

The 27-year-old - real name Dwayne Carter - says "I don't like what he's saying about how he had to come back because hip hop's dead and we need him. It's not your house anymore, and I'm better than you."
