Not hearing a lot of people talk about this guy, which is a bit strange considering he went to Syracuse and Knicks fans tend to have a Big East bias. But he's a very good outside shooter and stood out in the Orlando pre-draft camp for his scoring. He can shoot of curls, spot up, has a decent fadeway. The knock on him is he doesn't do a lot to create his own shot and isn't the most athletic guy. But then again if Jason Kapono and Kyle Korver can find an important NBA role than I think this guy can too.

Isiah's typically used his late firsts on guys who stood out in the postseason and Nichols fits that profile.

6. Demetris Nichols 6-7 205 SF Syracuse Sr. -- 13.7 ppg, 15-23 fg (65.2%), 9-13 3p (69.2%). Nichols was money in the bank all week shooting an incredible 69% from three over the three games hitting 9-13. He lacks stand out athleticism, but he's good enough where it's not a liability, and his outside shot and overall decision making will make him a solid role player in the NBA. Look for him to be one of the first 10 or so second rounders taken.

If we still had our second round pick he would be a great selection.
What happened to that pick anyway?
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

I like Nichols shooting ability, the kid from Boston has a bad studdering problem.

NY media would destroy him in interviews
JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

Supposedly he has been working on that. His dream is now to be a sports anchor at some point, and he majored in sports journalism or something like that at SU.

Thankfully shooting will be a bigger part of his game than talking.

This sounds like the Bill Walton story.
