Anyone here know which is better for Verizon or the pros and Cons?

I started a new job today, and I will not have internet access for emails or personal.

Which is best to use with GMAIL?

Which is best to use for web surfing to sites like UK, ESPN, RealGM?

Thanks!

I've got the treo 700p- I use chattermail which is a pretty awesome mail program. It seems to work well with my one gmail account- I do not use a lot.

For web surfing, I think the treo might be better- I've used it to post here.

I can't comment on the 8830- but I was never big into blackberry's internet accss-

yeah, i was thinking that the treo might be a bit better for web surfing than email.

blackberry's email access seems to be text only mainly

i dont know why palm doesnt redo the treo to make it sleeker - in the wake of the moto Q and blackberry now wrecking shop.

palm also seemed very slow to me about 2 years ago for the treo. is it significantly faster now?

Treo is better in terms of use and in terms of adding different little things to it.The blackberry is limited to email and sub par internet. The Treo however, you have full internet,Gmail you can install, and you can install different games and apps.IT also has a camera I think.Bigger screen, can play music, watch videos.

I got the treo 700w. its cool and all but up to this day my phone freezes a lot and i need to reset it. when im on the web its all good until i go to a page that needs a flash download. i still to this day don't have a flash player ( due to i don't think i did it the right way.) i actually bought a wireless card for it to catch a signal but that was pointless cause i subscibe to the internet. the phone is fun i can actually get on to this web site to read the daily gossip. i paid about 250 with the verizon rebate its a good price until i see the iphone. From what i've seen from my coworkers i prefer the treo way more than the blackberry. i wish i could give more input but the phone is way to complicated for me.

They don't call it crackberry for nothing. I love my blackberry and you will too especially if you use email a lot. The little touches on the blackberry are extremely intuitive and smart. Try it out and I promise you will not be sorry.

my wife phone freezes also, and as caseloads asked, why not make the treo sleeker? I also heard that motorola is going to purchase palm, so maybe some changes are going to happen with the treo.. It needs to..

I have the blackberry 7100. I had the phone for a long time and I have violently dropped it continuously at least once a day and the phone still works fine. I can't speak for any other models though. Blackberry is for email. If you want to access your job email or blackberrys email its just wicked. The pinwheel and basic configuration is just genius. If you are looking for something that is gonna take pictures, play music, have cool ring tones, web browsing, etc this is not for you. If you want that get a sidekick.

I always tell people the blackberry is a grown man device. If you have a blackberry it just shows that you are on your ****. You don't have time for games. You see emailing, texting and organizing. Its just really quick and easy. 1,2,3, its back in your pocket.

The sidekick is just a social device. Its obnoxious looking and draws to much attention with the flip screen and the "put some D's on it" ringtone you downloaded will give you some dirty looks.

The treo is just too clunky and it freezes up. Its more of a personal entertainment device. You can't just use it for phone calls and texting. You have to have a use for all its features. If you don't its a waste. Its too big and heavy too.
