So, I thought it might be a good opportunity to give an update on the status of my eye. No, it didn't fall out. Most of you probably remember from last time, but just in case... I had two retinal tears and a retinal detachment in my left eye a few months back, and then had surgery to correct it. You may even remember Nalod's pirate jokes. Arrr!

Anyway, I just was back for a check-up last week. The blurriness is gone. I still have some distortions, but they're not nearly as bad as they were. From the eye test, I have 20/20 (with glasses) in my left eye again. So, it's recovering nicely.

Now, as for the right eye, I have lattice (thinning retina). Doc is going to use the laser to induce scarring behind the retina so I don't get a repeat of what happened in my left eye. It's a very minor procedure, I'm having it done Tuesday. Overall things are going well with my eyes.

The end result is that not having to watch the horrid Knicks play for a while has sped up the healing process.

I was kinda feeling bad for you, for a minute there. I don't have perfect vision and it bothers me sometimes late at night but its nothing compared to your surgery. Eye injuries are scary. They sound scary.

But all in all, glad to hear you are healing and trust in your seemingly good doctors.
