There is no doubt about it--Sean Williams has as much physical talent up to pick 3 as anyone else on the board. You can't teach someone to be 6-10 with a lightning quick first and second jump w long arms and the ability to use that athletiscm all over the floor. Now the deal is will the kid keep is head on straight? He's not an Eddie Griffin game per se because eddy's offensive game wa shooting 3s thats why his FG% was so poor but the problem again is he going to act like Griffin--I guess thats where IT might gamble?
Hey it would be awesome to somehow grab both Dudley and Williams---the first thing you look at is how MANY games these guys won in VERY tough conferences. We don't know just how good BC *couldve been this year.
But there is no doubt about it *physically* you are talking about Williams who *may have* gone THIRD in this draft under different circumstances.

I love his D but he doesn't seem to do much on offensive end, not that we need more offense but if he can't do anything on the offense team can double off of him.

I liked Almond's video. He's got a NBA quick release, nice little floater and knows how to use the glass. He definitely reminds me a little bit of Allan with some Glen Rice in him too.

Yeah he's my top pick but I'm pretty convinced it's a long shot that he will be there @ 23. He's a good *fit* here almost perfect for what he can do and what we need. But the question is "how many teams want a 6-6 225 high character sharp-shooting 2 guard"?

that's what I tend to think, but he seems to be slipping on the draft boards for some reason. Then again, those things don't mean much. If Isiah really wants him, he could probably make some trade to climb up into the mid teens.

I really love both Almond and Sean Williams. I think it would be a MAJOR coup to find a way to get both of those guys. If I had to choose I was very high on Almond, but I must admit that it's much closer than I once thought. Sean just looks like the right guy to put next to Curry and even tho we could really use Almond. We actually have shooters. None as good as him, but we DON'T have ANYONE like Sean Williams and in that sense I think I may be changing my mind about who i'd take.

Let's face it, we don't need any more offense. We often say we need to spread the floor and that's true, but being able to STOP people would do even more for this team. When we were healthy we were one of the best offensive teams in the league. In truth tho we need BOTH of them. I'd prefer that we made a small deal to get another pick and try to get both guys.

I loved the Almond video, nothing fancy no charging to the basket, just pull up jumper within 10 feet, three point range and a nice little floater. The guy I would like is Thaddeus Young but there is no way we would get him where we are at.

This is as good a draft as I can remember--I wouldnt mind buying out Jerome Jmes if we could get another draft pick. What is more valuable to the team fat arse james sitting taking up a space or a high qulaity young asset. Jerome James is worth 0.

Sean Williams is just what this team needs... imagine him doing his thing playing alongside Curry & D Lee & blocking shots like there's no tomorrrow? this is a true intimidator in every sense of the word, not just a guy who blocks shots off weakside help D... at pick 23, i'd much rather take a high risk, high potential reward prospect than a safe pick w/good attitude... this guy can be a defensive beast for us if he pans out... yeah, he's got questions about his pot smoking & what not, but in our current situation we just can't pass up on a player w/his skillset & athletic ability... you can't teach the athleticism & shotblocking instincts that this kid already has... if Isiah passes on this kid i'll be highly vexed, unless it's for Morris Almond... that kid has some nice skills too... reminds me of a young Allan Houston.

The comparisons of Almond and Houston are somewhat accurate (actually he reminds me a little of Ricky Pierce with his body type and floating one-handers) in terms of shooting, quick release, confidence, playing below or at the rim, not exceptionally explosive....

Derrick Byars looks good. Good all around skill. But seems to be a jack of all trades master of none type player.

Alando Tucker really is getting any love in most mock drafts. This kid was one of the top 5 players in the country last year. Was in the running for player of the year. Tucker is relentless taking the ball to the basket. If he could develop a consistant jumper, he will be an NBA allstar. Reminds me a little of Nick Anderson or even Q when they were in college. 6'6 and dominated within 15 feet of the basket. Tucker is a lot stronger then he looks.

yea I personally think Tucker is going to be the steal of the draft. the most important thing is he has a good work ethic and played 4 years of college ball so he has his head on straight.

williams, almond, afflalo, byars, nichols, any of those guys I'd be happy with
^precocious neophyte.

Nick Young...smooth.

Morris Almond- can shoot the hell out of it but looked deliberate.

Rodney Stuckey- finishes with a lot of contact. Reminded me a bit of Stevie Franchise in those highlights.

Alando Tucker has that look in his eye like a dude that wants to take the shot when the team needs it. He just has the look of a stone cold killer. That's just me I could be wrong buy he just gives off that presence to me.
