Was there anything in that seemed even remotely more than speculation?

'Likely' is the key word. If we get Sheed, I think we at least make the playoffs. I don't know why I'm excited by it though. I'm lowering my standards here. Someone stop me!

MALIK, NATE, & FRYE FOR SHEED.

Get it done.
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

No way. We lose our best perimeter shooter and Frye for Wallace. I am thinking more like Rose and Frye for Wallace. Wallace is damaged goods. Why give the Piston two young prospects for an over 30 PF that we are only going to use for 2 years at the most. Nate by himself is worth a first round draft pick.

^ what the hell is the difference?

The rotation doesnt have enough room for Nate as it is.

Marbury, Collins
Crawford, QRich
Jefferies, QRich, Balkman
Sheed, Dlee, Morris
Curry, Sheed, James, Morris

I don't believe it.
1) The article is listed under 'NBA Rumors'.
2) Their justification is limited to 'The consensus is'.
They don't know anything more than we do.

Which basically holds true for most media print and analysis. There are some at home (us fans) who know more (or just as much) then the one's that are glorified for holding positions of influencing the masses through sheer print and television.

For all the professional folks who spit out rumors and predictions on how things are and should be in sports....there are a small minority that actually know what they're talking about, and most of the times the most knowledgable one's come from the recently retired athletes of their sports (in most cases). IMHO...

Rasheed is the last thing we need. There will be no discipline cause he will have no one to hold him in check. He will completely ruin the locker room. Stay away from Sheed!

you know the deal I would offer up- something like Crawford & Jeffries for Sheed & Detroits pick- and then either see about bundling the detroit & chicago picks to move up- or use them to take 2 young wing players-

Yes Rasheed is a headache- but he is a headache with 2 years vs. crawford & jeffries.

So you clear cap space down the line- true, you give up Crawford- but crawford is always going to be a 'tantalizing' talent. Give me solid, non flash & steady- we have enough flashy tantalizing talent in Curry.

And Sheed is a competitor- he's won, knows how to win & that element might be enough.

I would include our pick to get rid of the two contracts its a big move that would really help shore things up, especially if your moving francis to bench guard

i agree, doing this trade does nothing for us long term, if anything it could be a chemistry killer

This would be perfect, but only if we can also bring Artest to the Knicks.

Just imagine Marbury, Francis, Wallace and Artest on the same team. Wouldn't that be awesome? Oh and don't forget little Nate. He belongs with that group too.

not if jefferies and crawford are included in the package you clearing 15.5 million in cap space between those two not to mention 35 from Marbury and Francis......

everyone is so short sighted.....

As of know we have 41 million in committed salaries for 09/10, substract crawford and jefferies, nate from that your taking almost 18 million dollars off. Which means we are under the cap with the ability to bring in some free agents, superstars in fact.....

Balkman, Collins, Lee, Curry, Frye plus superstar, plus picks think about it
