• Lots of teams are targeting the Celtics' No. 5 pick. GMs believe that Celts chief Danny Ainge will want a quicker fix to his team than the No. 5 pick can provide.

So far it seems as though the Celtics haven't heard a serious offer. The one that was floating around the gym -- the Knicks' David Lee and Nate Robinson for Gerald Green, Sebastian Telfair and the No. 5 pick -- has no chance of happening.

I don't want to move david lee, but since he said this has no chance of happening, i was wondering who would actually look to make this move.....

Number 5: Conley, Green, Brewer, Wright? It would be a tough deal to pass up

Lee is a known commodity. Top 3 rebounder, highly efficient offense around the basket, good finisher and passer, borderline All-Star. I wouldn't give up a player like that for the chance to take a college player who may or may not wind up being as effective at the NBA level.

I agree but green is a very good prospect so is brewer and not that he would fall but horford at the 5 is still a possibility

Curry
Horford
Balkman
Green
Collins

I would love to include channing in that deal instead along with any player they want on this roster

Danny Ainge and Isiah, together, might be able to orchestrate the all-time worst trade in sports history. Both teams will lose BIG!

I'm not so convinced Green is going to be anything special. I think he's just as likely to become another failed star as he is a legit star.

why would they do that trade? Is Telfair's contract horrible?
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

I still remember Packer screaming at Nantz (who wasn't listening as usual) how Green should be dominating the game against Ohio State. That is an ongoing thing with Green, doesn't dominate the ball when he should and tends to wait until the final minutes to take over games. I don't think Green has the killer instinct it takes to be a super-star at the next level. I think he is more of a Scottie Pippen type which is not bad but I wouldn't want him to play second fiddle to the guards on this team. But teaming him up with the likes of Curry makes a lot sense.

Gerald Green entered the draft straight from HS. Which Green are talking about?

BTW, I dont see Boston pulling the trigger on that trade. Lee and Nate might not be enough for Green and the 5th pick.

Sounds like he's confusing Gerald Green with Jeff Green from Georgetown.

I don't know i would have to seriously think about it and for the better of the organization with the emergence of balkman, getting gerald green and the 5 would almost rebuild the team......

Lee is awesome and i love his game but adding two future starters is hard to pass up

can david lee start next to eddy and win big time in the league? defense would be quite poor coming out of the 4/5 spot.

I love David Lee but if Curry is going to be the foundation of this Franchise then we cannot look to him as our starting power foward or power forward of the future...unless he can put all that energy from rebounding into his defense or Curry starts playing some semblence of D.

I think Lee has hopes to get better on D. He doesn't need to be a shotblocker, especially the way they call the game nowadays. He just needs to get better in terms of reading plays as they develop and getting to where he needs to be in time to cut off lanes or take a charge. I think he's athletic and smart enough to be able to do that.

b/c youre a jerk.

and he's not (i can use bold too), a top 3 rebounder.
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

Neck and neck with Chandler for 3rd. Only Dikembe and Reggie Evans were better this season.
