With his final meltdown and ejection, Rasheed Wallace has probably received his last technical in a Pistons uniform. With only two years left on his contract, though at an average of about $13.5 million, Wallace has some appeal. The consensus is Knicks GM Isiah Thomas will be thwarted by the Lakers in trying to get Jermaine O'Neal and by the Sonics in some form of sign and trade or straight free agency for Rashard Lewis. Wallace talked about going to the Knicks before he re-signed with the Pistons in 2004.

He would be great beside Curry. Should we bite???

"2 years of about $13.5 million"...he will come off the books the same time as Marbury and Francis.

Rasheed is going to be 33 in September. It makes sense for a title contender to try to get him. Doesn't make sense for us.

Wow. Rasheed's awesome... he's just like Garnett - except not quite as good. But damn, that guy tends to make big shots (yes, he was sooo fouled on that play).

He's no superstar, esp at age 33, but he'd be a great complimentary piece with loads of playoff and championship experience. If we could add him for garbage... maybe.

I agree. There's no point in us getting him. If we do get him, I sure hope he plays behind Lee.

I think we should do this move for 3 reasons. First off we need an agressive rugged Power Foward...taa daa Rasheed. Second, the Knicks are going to try to make huge moves in the free agent market in 2 years...taa daa Rasheed contract expires in 2 yrs and by making this move we create even more cap space come 2009. We need someone to help Channing Frye(who has a very similar game to Wallace)and Curry to stop being low post pussies or as I like to say L.P.P.'s...who other than Rasheed. Jermaine O'neal won't do this, even though I still want him to become a Knick. But I also see the negatives of this deal, therefore we would need Marbury to step up his leadership role more than ever. Rasheed can come in and easily become the leader of this team. You can see how Marbury isolated Frye this past regular season when he became less effective. Frye then became in a way depressed out the on the court and you can see his was no longer having fun on the court. Rasheed would never allow that. He would get on Frye's ass and make him get motivated. Lol I got to go to class but I have more viewpoints on this when I return.

Is it possible we could have both Sheed and Ron-Ron next season?

That would be golden. :)

What do we have that we're willing to give up that the Pistons would want?

Yeah, but they'll have to back up JO and Rashard.

Bonn, you have officially lost it. Play behind Lee? Are you kidding? I love Lee but what has Lee done in his short NBA career to make you think that Rasheed Wallace should have to play behind him. Think about it before you post. The guy has been an all-star, played on a championship team and now he has to play second fiddle to a guy who in his best season to date was not a real contender for sixth man of the year. I know you were kidding but you made it sound convincing.

What does it matter, Kobe and T-Mac will dominate the ball.

Oh, get real. There's no way we're getting T-Mac.

Steph would be the most sane in that group. :)

THe problem is we would probably have to give up Frye to get Wallace. Detroit is going to want something, unless they are willing to trade our headache (Francis) for their headache (Wallace) straight up.

The all time moron team. Come crunch time only Kobe has any balls left. The rest have history of falling apart.

Since larry left Detroit Rashweed has been starting to come undone.

Jared Jefferies, Jamal Crawford, Nate Robinson for Rasheed Wallace I would do, but thats about it. I might even though in our draft pick, they are trying to rebuild and they get a few scorers etc.....

Don't see anyone blowing them away with an offer to be honest.....

I think ron ron is a better option
