Spurs in 6 tops, I say. Hard to pick against RoboTim and Popovich.

Detroit didn't take the Cavs seriously. The Spurs WILL.

I'll be nice and give the Cavs a game.

Spurs in 5.

The Spurs are going to expose the Cavs for what they are, which is a pretty good team that still has some exploitable weaknesses. With Bowen on LeBron and Duncan waiting in the paint, the Cavs are going to struggle to score all series. On the other end, the Cavs have a good defense but they'll find the Spurs are a much tougher guard than Detroit. Spurs in 5. Actually I would not be surprised by a sweep.

Big Z needs to play Duncan tough and the Cavs perimeter shooters need to be on to give LeBron space. Even then this is a tough series for Cleveland.

I agree but I'd love to see the Cavs win. The Spurs are just too boring. It's supposed to be *entertainment*!

SA should take it, but, and I don't expect it, if that boobie trap goes off again Cleveland can win.

Anyone else think the Cavs (especially Lebron) got a huge edge from the refs? It looked like the league realized Pistons/Spurs would be the most boring Finals series in decades, whereas Lebron can be marketed as the next Michael.

If you had this attitude in the early 90s you would have been a Bulls fan and a Cowboys fan. That means I hate you.

Gibson's got cojones but really he's just a spot up shooter and so he can be contained. San Antonio will not let him go off.

Yeah the Cavs got a good whistle, but they were very aggressive and they were at home. That kind of thing is to be expected. I think that's the danger of letting yourself get to that point if your Detroit. I was most impressed with Cleveland. I really didn't think they'd be able to pull this off. Mike Brown did a GREAT job with his players. They defend and they execute on offense. In fact they don't get enough credit for how much they've grown this season. They clearly got better as the post season went along. I think they're gonna be a tough out for SA.

The Cavs have good size and they have LeBron. The way they defend and get after it I think they'll put up a good fight. SA is tough tho cuz they can play any style there is. They don't really have any weaknesses. They're a better offensive team and a great defensive team. They also have experience, so you have to think SA will win it, but the Cavs are a good team and well coached, so I don't see a sweep.

I think the kid just got hot, I'm not sure it was the result of bad coaching. Many teams will double Lebron and force a rookie to beat them.

I want the Cavs to win, but I felt... and still feel that the only teams that could stop the Spurs were the Suns and Mavs. Mavs got eliminated in a first round upset and the Suns chances were ruined upon a league "rule". I can't see the Cavs winning. Spurs in 6, but rooting for the Cavs.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

Guys,

Cleveland is not a shabby team. I think they will give Spurs the toughest challenge than any playoff team this yr.

Cleveland played better defense this yr and was one of the better rebounding team along with having a superstar to be in LEbron JAmes.

Bowen and Ginobli will not stop LEbron. I knew Detriot was not going back to the finals. Flip Saunders is a BUM! HE just can never get over the hump of going to the NBA FInals.
The Future. GO KNICKS!

I think the Knicks were way more exciting than the Spurs are now. Ewing through down plenty of powerful dunks and we all know Starks was a great dunker and then Spree was too. That said, if I hadn't grown up in NY, I probably would NOT have been a Knick fan. Very, very few people outside of NY were Knick fans.
I agree with your point later in this thread about Gibson. It surprises me how effective he was in this series because he's a limited player. I wish I hadn't fallen asleep at the end of the 3rd quarter, though!

Lebron got the whistle in Detroit too. I think there is *some* contact on the drives where he gets whistles, but it's minimal and often wouldn't be called for other players. I wish Marbury got calls like Lebron does.
