This is exactly what happened last year. They have to get the job done and close the deal.

And yeah, we pounded them into hash a time or two, but we can't live on woulda-shoulda-couldas right now.

this is a little different. cleveland is a different team. more mature. i think they know they have to win game 6. last year they were more in shock they were hanging with detroit, now, they kinda got a shark smelling blood attitude.

cleveland is overrated b/c the eastern conference sucks my hairy jewish ass.

who did cleveland have to beat to get here?

the freakin nets?
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

I feel confident that, if Cleveland wins game 6, there is no way Detroit has a chance at winning this series.

Yup.

Yup.

How prophetic. I am forced to disagree, however. There's always the David Stern possibility of taking away a win due to LeBron's left toe being on the court during a spitball fight and him overturning Cleveland's game 6 win.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

Great series, stern couldn't be happier.

Flip is known as a loser when the game really counts.

Cleveland's coach Brown was on the hotseat this yr for often losing early in the playoffs.

These next games will show me if it was Ben Wallace and Larry Brown the pistons missed, or is Cleveland coach better than FLIP .

Detroit is known for playing their best basketball when they have their backs against the wall. WE WILL SEE.

JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

Coached better? Please Lebron scored the last 30 points by himself. Thats the coaching.

And it makes a big difference having a sheed/wallace/okur/hunter combo three years younger....Larry got very lucky. If he went up against healthy teams your looking at a conference final, and a semifinal

Neither,
Lebron James was just unstoppable. Pistons had to see the writing on the wall. C'Mon, hitting fadeaway 3's when your down 4 with under a minute to play. That takes some balls and shows me alot about James. Cavs might have got their record because of a weak east, but let's not discredit their efforts. They are playing the power house of the east in Detroit and they are hanging with them and grinding it out. Let's see what happens. One more game until the finals, although I do not want to see a SA/Clev finals matchup.

That will be as lopsided as the spurs/knicks finals.

If LeBrone will do it again we have the second coming of Jordan or Magic and this will change all complexion of the East and may be all NBA. He is domn close...
The MaDyce ejection was terrible and may affected the outcome but James is something!!!
Talking about the Knicks – probably all Knicks players collectively have less than half value of James…

We were all witness to the king last nite.

I thought Eric Snow played a hell of a game last nite and was clutch in defense.

I know its all good for the new king but as a fan Im not all that blown away by it all.

Why? Its been done before. The superstar king thing by Jordan was a wonderful thing to behold, but it got old. Bird was the catalyst for his team, as was Magic. Lebron is the team.

Im not taking a thing away from him at all, at 22 he is incredible but the path they have had was very lucky, which is needed at times (as the suns and Mavs about good or bad fortune) and sometimes the best team does not advance.

I was hoping the SUns would make it as Nash and that ball movement thing should be the next big thing. Reverting to the savior thing has been done before.

but look at what leborn has to work with. he doesn't have much of a team around him so he has to score. and at the same time regularly notches 8-10 assists. i don't think he's "playing' savior; i think he needs to be one for this tema to win and he's doing it. very very few guys can do that.

i think the guy will end up being spoken of as one of the handful of best evers.

scarey to think this kid would be a senior in college this year!

At 22 there has not been a better player. I think Kareem in his rookie year took the Bucks (with an aging oscar) to the finals and won. That was impact.

It's kind of funny. In the midst of Lebron's scoring run in the 4th and the overtimes, why didn't they call any plays for Ilgauskas? On one hand, it seemed as if Detroit was expecting Lebron to eventually pass... but he never did. Awesome.

Tayshaun Prince had the "Chris Webber-style" scared/intimidated/frustrated look on his face late in the game. He was dominated.

I don't know if Cleveland will win game 6, but I definitely think they've mastered Detroit. They can definitely hang with them, and now they know they can execute in the clutch.
