Drexler was the better defensive player, that's an easy call.

Offensively Lebron has more size, and yea he has more potential, but I honestly am not wowed by the Lebron hype machine that is the NBA. (and Nike).

I'm just really not that impressed; not saying he isn't a REALLY good player, but I personally think we have so much sensationalism nowadays b/c the league is going through a rough patch ever since Jordan retired, and that whole period of crappy H.S. draftees.

Can't wait till the league gets older, b/c Lebron may be King, but he sure ain't PWN the palace...
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

lol @ bobs

Serious, I was always taught that you cannot compare greatness. To compare is to rob an individual of his aura. LeBron is only in his fourth-year -- never stepped foot in a college. Drexler, meanwhile played with number 1 scoring options at both Unive. of Houston and Portland. Let The Man do what he do first, then come back in about 10 years and try and compare the two. Until then, you are not able to give a fair assessment.

Jot that down now.

some of you guys have never watched drexler play.

sure he DEF. had a better surrounding cast, but drexler was probly every bit as athletic, better defender, equal scorer, etc, etc.

bron's got more potential, less defender more playmaking.

I'd take Drexler right now in his prime.

Lebron can dribble w/o looking at the ball. Drexler either had to do that... or did it on purpose so no one stood in his path.

Bob, are you listening to anything I said.

Of course you would take Drexler. I'd take Drexler too.

Wait til LeBron's career is over then create this thread. Until then, you are not able to give a fair assessment.

Hmmm Drexler in his prime or LeBron at 22 is supposed to be a fair comparison? If it is, then you have to take LeBron, since he's only going to get better.

I agree with bigpimpin, way too early for these types of comparisons.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

This isn't really relavent. 'The Glide' was one of the best players in the league for a generation. LeBron needs to do what he's doing over the long haul.
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)
