Don't you think that the timing is right for a more patient approach to making any moves? The guy has added a load of young talent and the next moves we make will be critical for this team's success in the next 5 years. So he's only doing the right thing by taking a long look at all the available options.
Can we at least STOP all this crap about him not doing anything in the last FOUR YEARS? GEEZ! How can you count the 1st year and a half when it was said that it woud take ANY GM about 3-4 years to do anything with the team? DId we all just forget what he started with now cuz it's more convenient to bash him and include all the years he's been here? I honestly don't get that. The last 2 years he's started to do a better job and this team at least has some good things going for it now. Sure the record has been bad and that is fairly held against him, but let's not kid ourselves and forget how tough a job this really was.
The difference now is that he's at least gotten to a point where with a good move this team can jump a couple of levels. We have youth for a good run. Things aren't as bad as so many want to keep painting this to be. It's sad to see post after post not even trying to look for ways this team can improve, but simply BASHING away and being pessimistic.
At this point your unwavering "optimism" can only be explained as a gimmick. It absolutely has to be, because there's no way that any rational person can think the way you do, without being paid to do so.
Or are you being paid to spin things the way you do? Wasn't there a report saying that Isiah has been known to have members of his staff go on the internet to spread his "message" on fan boards? If that's true, there's only one person on this board that fits that description.
As for Isiah's "new approach", it wouldn't have to do with Dolan closing his checkbook and the team not having the pieces to make any big moves, now would it?
How many "new approaches" has Isiah had since he's been here anyway? First it was win now with Marbury (AKA Welcome to the Playoffs!), then it was build around the 3 first rounders, then it was build around Curry and supposedly now it's slow and steady to get under the cap. That's awesome. We should all be able to work for people that stupid and gullible.
If it didn’t work in Phoenix with Nash and Stoutamire... it’s just not a winning formula. It’s an entertaining formula, but not a winning one. - Derek Harper talking about D'Antoni's System
