On the heels of the Spurs dispatching Utah, this was some hilarious banter during the 4th quarter. Mike Breen (everyone's favorite PBP guy) brought up the Spurs championships and it sets JVG off...

JVG: "Yeah, I want to put an asterisk next to that championship in '99. Bottom line, Patrick Ewing injured. Larry Johnson injured. Chris Dudley injured."
MJ: "And you had no business being there in the first place."
JVG: "Oh, we ROCKED your world in '99! Allan Houston torched Reggie Miller!"

Mark Jackson I hope meant that Jeff had no business being the knicks head coach(in the 1st place), he had a group of vets and the underhand dealings of ewing and jeff giving him the headcoaching job backfired when ewing got injured before the 1999 finals

That was one of the best playoff runs I have seen in my short time as a Knick fan. Every game was intense. The Spurs got lucky we were missing Ewing. ASSHOLES! Ewing, Spree and Houston make an unstoppable team.

IMO, H20 best performance as a Knick came in that Series along with Camby. LOL, I remember Bird saying he had no answer for those two. He was mystified at Camby who was dunking from every direction.

Those flying tip ins from camby was breath taking.

Ewing getting hurt was heartbreaking. A healthy ewing would have left it out on the court in the finals and taught Duncan and rob a lesson. All we have is what ifs. That stit is sickening.
