Balkman and Lee can never be on the floor at the same time -- who develops offense first?

Neither player has much of an offensive game. And until either of the two step up and provide the team with more offense via a legitimate post game, they should never take the floor simutaneously.

Honestly, I don't think either player will develop much of an offensive threat

I wouldn't go so far as to say that they should never be on the floor together. There are times when you want a strong defensive and rebounding unit out there. The thing is that for some reason we're getting too caught up in the flaws that some of our young players have. It seems that many of us would make horrible GM's cuz we'd never allow guys to develop. In Balkman's case he really didn't play all that much in this league yet and Collins saw even less floor time. We really can't know what any of these guys have dormant within them. I'm willing to bet that they can get better with hard work and I see these guys as hard workers. Lee came back this year a better player and who's to say that he won't do that again this year? I'm pulling for these guys to improve in the areas they need to, but we have to give them time. Bowen was a one way player for a good while before he added offense.

Actually, I think Lee and Balkman should be on the floor together more often next season. I expect both to come back next year with improved jumpers and these guys will make you pay for doubling off of them because they are going to cut to the basket or go get the rebound. Balkman is one of our best defenders and probably our best shot-blocker, and Lee is one of our better passers and he does have a post game. Both are excellent finishers and i would like to see the Cury focus more on passing to cutters rather than simply passing back out to the man who made the entry pass. Assuming Lee improves his defense and both noticeably improve their shooting, IMO Marbury, Q, Balkman, Lee, and Curry is our strongest lineup.

guys i'm concerned we're losing our focus and direction as a board. can we please get back to our core agenda??????

this thread should go like this:

"eddy curry and jerome james can never be at a buffet table at the same time -- who gets the gastric bypass first?"

ahhh, i feel better now.

Marv, that's just mean. You seem to have some repressed anger against the overweight. Did you have a rough childhood?

Your right, everytime they were on the floor together we outmatched every teams energy, got nearly every rebound and made every hustle play......

Think before you post or at least watch the game, they are finishers you add them at there with two scorers and eddy and they give you everything you need to be successful

If you asked everyone to post their favorite two players on the team it would be Lee and Balkman by a landslide.

If they both develop the need for minutes, I'd rather have Balkman because he can guard multiple positions.
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

I think Marv will disagree with you. This guy holds a special place in his heart.

I'd agree with this- so often when it was lee & balkman, they both kept balls alive on the offensive glass.

This post should really be- Frye and Jeffries shouldn't be on the floor at the same time.

I don't have a problem with Lee & Balkman on the court together, the issue is when they are out there with Jeffries or Frye.

Balkman and Lee should be the starters at forward with the way things are right now.

Balkman, Lee and Crawford are the heart and soul of this team. We need those guys. We need a whole lot more, too, but I don't want to lose any of them unless we get a major piece.
